Former WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has made a surprise return to the ring after missing several weeks of action due to injury and illness.
Stephanie Vaquer returned during WWE’s live event in Portland, Maine, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, teaming with IYO SKY and Lola Vice in a six-woman tag team match against Fatal Influence. The appearance marked her first match since October 17 and came just two days before WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
The 33-year-old had originally been scheduled to return from an ankle injury on the October 26 episode of Monday Night Raw, where she was advertised to face Becky Lynch. However, the match was cancelled after Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Vaquer had not received medical clearance to compete.
Lynch subsequently challenged reigning Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan instead, while questions remained about when Vaquer could return. Reports later emerged that the former champion was also dealing with an illness, raising further concerns about her immediate wrestling future.
Stephanie Vaquer Returns After Reports Of Indefinite Absence
Following her withdrawal from Raw, reports suggested that Stephanie Vaquer could be sidelined indefinitely, with no confirmed timetable for her return. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter subsequently reported that the illness was not believed to be serious, although it remained unclear when she would be cleared to resume competing.
Thursday’s appearance in Portland therefore marked an unexpectedly quick return for the former Women’s World Champion. Before her absence, Vaquer had last competed on October 17 in a four-way match during WWE’s live event tour of Hawaii.
Her most recent major televised appearance came at Money in the Bank in October, where she lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan in a triple threat match that also featured Becky Lynch. The defeat ended Vaquer’s championship reign and established Morgan as the new titleholder heading into Crown Jewel.
Morgan is scheduled to face WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship on Saturday, November 7. Vaquer’s return also comes as WWE prepares for its final premium live event before Survivor Series later this month.
Although she has now resumed in-ring competition, WWE has not announced any immediate television plans for Vaquer following her appearance in Portland. Nevertheless, her return to action is a positive development after reports had suggested she could face an extended absence.
