A recent fan encounter has prompted a public response from WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, raising further questions about boundaries between performers and fans.
Stephanie Vaquer took to social media to address an incident involving a fan, stating that she felt uncomfortable after being followed and recorded despite asking to be left alone. Vaquer explained that the situation occurred on her birthday, a day she described as already difficult.
“I always stop for fans and I’m kind to them,” she wrote. “You followed me for a long time, saying hurtful things and making me feel uncomfortable. I told you no multiple times, and you kept following me and recording. And now you’re posting this on social media. It’s sad to see people like you call themselves fans.”
Fan Posted Footage Of The Incident Claiming Stephanie Vaquer Was “Mean”
The response came after the fan shared footage of the encounter online, reportedly portraying Stephanie Vaquer as being dismissive. According to Vaquer, she had politely asked for space, something she said most fans respected.
The incident comes shortly after another fan-related moment on WWE Raw at Madison Square Garden, where a fan reached over the barricade and grabbed Liv Morgan during her entrance. Morgan quickly pulled away and continued to the ring, with reports indicating security addressed the situation immediately.
Both incidents have renewed discussion around fan behaviour at events and during public appearances, particularly regarding personal space and respect for performers. Vaquer is currently scheduled to defend the Women’s World Championship against Morgan at WrestleMania 42 on April 18 or 19 in Las Vegas.
