Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo had to be stretched out of the arena after a spot went wrong at a NXT Live show last night.
At the event in Sudbury, Ontario, it was BirthRight against Tony D’Angelo, Tavion Heights, Shiloh Hill and Shawn Spears.
Stacks took a back body drop to the floor but hit the ring post before landing. The official called the medical assistance calling an end to the bout.
Since the match was the main event, the show ended early.
Spears addressed the crowd after Lorenzo was taken away for medical attention.
“As much as I want to thank you for coming out tonight unfortunately things happen in this ring that are unexpected. You have heard us say a thousand times we are one big family here in WWE. You are all included and part of our family. When something this serious takes place it is not easy. I am sorry we had to end like this but from the bottom of my heart I thank you for coming out tonight,” he said.
BirthRight then attacked the faces from behind.
It is not clear how serious Lorenzo’s injury is.
The rest of the results are:
