Shayna Baszler is still working with WWE but not in any official capacity.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Baszler confirmed her working relationship with the promotion.
When Baszler was released she was immediately offered a role with the company.
“When I got the call about being released I also got a call that was like ‘You know, take some time, but if you’re still interested in keeping on doing coaching we’re open to that idea,’” Baszler said.
Right now, she is working for WWE but without a contract.
“I’m not officially hired but I have a good relationship with them. I’m officially guest coaching when I can or when the opportunity comes,” she said.
Baszler is open to returning as an on-air talent if the opportunity arises.
“Never say never in this business. I mean, weirder things have happened, right? If I get over with something crazy on the indies and get an offer? I don’t know,” she said.
Baszler’s most recent match was losing to B3CCA at Uprising Women Athletes 7 in a DREAMWAVE Women’s Championship match.
