TNA Wrestling is reportedly preparing for a significant number of contract negotiations, with several talent deals set to expire over the coming months. According to Fightful Select, TNA President Carlos Silva recently addressed the situation during a talent meeting at a television taping, telling wrestlers the company intends to begin discussions about new contracts in the coming weeks. Silva reportedly emphasised the importance of securing agreements to help TNA plan its future creative direction more effectively. Fightful also noted that many contracts are due to expire in December. Meanwhile, Bryan Alvarez clarified that TNA routinely holds talent meetings before every show and that the contract situation was simply one topic discussed during a regular meeting.
R-Truth is reportedly doing well after his match against Damian Priest on Friday’s WWE SmackDown was stopped early due to an apparent injury. Truth appeared to suffer the injury while delivering a top-rope dropkick to Priest, prompting officials to end the contest. Bryan Alvarez provided an update on Sunday, reporting that Truth appears to be all right but will undergo further evaluation next week. The match marked Truth’s first appearance in the ring since Priest betrayed him following their unsuccessful challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championships on September 11. The former partners previously held the WWE Tag Team Championships for 147 days, winning the titles in March before losing them to Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga in August.
