Seth Rollins has added his name to one of wrestling’s most debated conversations, sharing the legends he believes belong among the greatest in-ring performers of all time.
During a recent appearance on Club Shay Shay, Seth Rollins was asked to name his personal Mount Rushmore of WWE stars, leading to a discussion focused on pure in-ring ability rather than drawing power or mainstream fame.
“If you wanna go like in-ring all time, you’re looking at Shawn Michaels, you’re looking at Eddie Guerrero, you’re looking at, after that it gets real hard,” Rollins said.
The former world champion went on to mention several other iconic names, explaining that narrowing the list down was difficult because of the number of all-time greats throughout wrestling history.
“Dynamite Kid was really good, but he was kind of a jerk, Bret Hart was really great. You could put Ric [Flair] in there as well. Flair was special,” he said. “Dusty [Rhodes] was a special promo, but Dusty’s in-ring work wasn’t blowing anyone out of the water.”
Rollins also highlighted more modern stars who he believes deserve consideration, including Bryan Danielson and the recently retired AJ Styles.
“Bryan Danielson would be up there, I think. I’d like to be in the conversation at some point,” Rollins added. “AJ Styles… is someone who is one of the greatest of all time in the ring. It’s a fun discussion, but it’s hard to narrow it down.”
Who Else Did Seth Rollins Say Deserves A Spot On A Wrestling Mount Rushmore?
While his comments centred on in-ring performance, Seth Rollins also acknowledged that a Mount Rushmore based on drawing power and business impact would likely look very different.
In that case, he said names such as Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and The Rock would be difficult to ignore due to their influence and ability to generate revenue.
