One match stands out above the rest for Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam.
The 2026 edition of SummerSlam has a stacked card that includes Oba Femi taking on Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell, CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title.
However, the match that has Rollins most intrigued will see Nick Aldis wrestle in WWE for the first time when he takes on Gunther.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the Visionary explained that seeing Aldis compete for the first time in nearly three years has his attention, not least because he wants to see what the former SmackDown GM has left in the tank.
“I think anytime anybody’s coming off of a long hiatus, and he has never really laced up the boots inside a WWE ring, there’s a ton of intrigue, and so actually, the Gunther Aldis match is one that has my attention.
“The other ones, you kind of know what you’re gonna get. I don’t mean that in a bad way. You know that Hell in a Cell’s probably gonna be a war, you know what you’re gonna get with Punk and Cody, you’ve seen them at their peak. I think there’s the mystery of what does Nick Aldis have in the tank.”
Seth Rollins Shocked To Find Out Nick Aldis Is Younger Than Him
Seth Rollins believes that, despite his time as an onscreen executive, Nick Aldis “looks fantastic,” and he was surprised to find out the star is a year younger than him.
“Now we see Aldis in his shirt every week on Friday. He looks fantastic, he looks full, the chest, he looks great, and he’s not even 40 years old. He’s still younger than I am, actually, which shocked me. I didn’t know that. Let’s see what he’s got. It’s really his WWE debut, and it’s on a massive stage, so I’m really looking forward to seeing that.”
Ahead of their showdown at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns came face-to-face at the end of the July 27th episode of Raw. While Reigns was able to drop Rollins with a spear, it was the Architect who stood tall at the end of the show after delivering a Stomp to the OTC on a chair.
