Seth Rollins has updated fans following successful surgery to repair a shoulder injury he picked up wrestling Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel earlier this month.
Rollins posted an image to his Instagram account of himself drinking a cup of coffee with his arm in a sling after undergoing surgery. He also made a playful jab at fans in regards to an ongoing discourse about his opinion of football changing depending on whether the Chicago Bears win a game or not.
Seth Rollins injured his left shoulder during his Crown Jewel Title match win against Cody Rhodes at the titular pay-per-view on October 11. The injury apparently occurred when Rollins performed a coast-to-coast diving headbutt. Although the exact nature of the shoulder injury is not known, it is apparently quite a severe injury, as Rollins is expected to be out of action until possibly after WrestleMania next year.
What Happened To Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title After He Got Injured?
After the news had broken about Seth Rollins having possibly picked up a legitimate injury at Crown Jewel, WWE created a storyline injury as a way to write Rollins off of TV, with his Vision teammates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, turning on him and hitting a spear and a tsunami splash to close the October 13 episode of Raw. On this Monday’s episode of Raw, GM Adam Pearce announced that the title would be vacated and the winner of a Battle Royal to be held later that night would go on to face CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the vacant title.
Jey Uso won the Battle Royal and is set to face Punk at SNME on November 1.
