Former TNA President Scott D’Amore has revealed that one of the first people to contact him after his departure from the promotion was WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Scott D’Amore reflected on being dismissed from TNA in 2024, noting that he had known in advance the announcement was coming. Once the news became public, D’Amore said his phone was flooded with messages, including one from Triple H.
“Actually, one of the very first people to text me when they posted the news… the first time I looked at my screen after it went public, the screen was full of messages, including one of them was Triple H,” D’Amore said.
According to D’Amore, the message was brief but meaningful.
“‘Are you okay?’ Which I think is a classy move.”
Scott D’Amore’s Time With TNA Ended In 2024
D’Amore’s tenure with TNA ended in February 2024 after overseeing the promotion’s resurgence in the years following its rebranding from Impact Wrestling.
He quickly returned to the wrestling business, announcing the relaunch of Maple Leaf Wrestling later that year. D’Amore now serves as the promotion’s head as it continues to establish itself on the independent wrestling scene.
