Sarah Stock is accusing AEW of allowing “corruption” and “negligence” to run rampant.
On X, she wrote: “Corruption and negligence are running UNCHECKED at @aew There is so much more than this. Receipts are coming. Anyone who doesn’t want to listen, stop listening. I don’t care. In the meantime, TALENT AND COMPANY SAFETY CONTINUES TO BE PUT AT RISK, to line the pockets of Kosha and Manzione. Of all the departments to eliminate.”
Stock was a coach with AEW and a trainer, producer with WWE. Since debuting in 2002, Stock has wrestled in Canada, Mexico, Japan and with Shimmer, TNA in North America. In Mexico she was known as Dark Angel in Mexico and Sarita in TNA.
Stock has hinted at Amanda Huber being part of the reason why Stock was released in the spring of this year.
She wrote: “Another one falls victim to the hand of Hysterical Huber. Tiara, if you’ve ever felt sidelined at @aew, it’s not you. I promise.”
Amanda Huber, the widow of the late wrestler Brodie Lee, was hired by AEW in October 2021 as head of the company’s Community Outreach Team.
Stock also commented: “I’m calling out corruption. Hi, Karen “Fibber” Bibber and Chris “Not A” Man-zione 👋🏻 Sleep tight…Oops, forgot to tag them. It’s @the_real_manzo and I can’t find Karen’s handle; probably disappeared publicly out of embarrassment for her grand flop of a ‘greatest accomplishment’ in @aew: renaming ‘Human Resources’ to ‘People & Culture’. 🙄😅 You go, girl! Earn that paycheck!”.
Chris Manzione is the Director of Performance Psychology at AEW while Karen Van Bibber is their People & Culture lead.
She claimed AEW doesn’t have an effective HR department.
“There is no HR department at @aew. There’s a clueless puppet named Karen From Not-HR who refuses to put anything in writing and spits out PC corporate lines like a Bot. Only Manzione has a use for her; he uses her as a shield to hide, just like Not-Man would. In fact, I’m still waiting for my notice, Karen. As far as I know, I’m still employed. Paychecks have been late. When do benefits end?” she wrote.
Stock didn’t stop there. She offered more details supporting her claims.
“I’d like some clarification, please @the_real_manzo. How many mental health-related ‘issues’ are @aew wrestlers permitted per year before they start getting charged? We’ve been directed to you for answers. Thanks!” she asked insisting that the HR department has been replaced by an app.
She went on to criticize how AEW treats Mexican talent behind the scenes:
“I hope my Mexican fans and friends understand the inhumane treatment toward Mexican wrestlers in @aew that I saw during my 2 years working there. I don’t know if things have changed, but this lack of respect needs to be called out—especially when Mexico has welcomed them with open arms,” she wrote in Spanish. “Here’s how @koshairby and @aew took care of Mexican talent: to save on flights home btwn Dynamite and Collision, they’d fly in Mexican Talent on Tues and keep them in the country until Sunday, no per diem, no food allowance, and ONLY ONE DAY/WEEK AT HOME WITH THEIR FAMILY. I was furious when I found out. I addressed the insanity and immorality of that with Kosha, but, “Then I’d have to do it for everyone.”
She detailed how other talent are treated:
“Edge gets picked up from the airport every time. Orange Cassidy gets picked up from the airport every time. As do innumerable other talent. Able-bodied males. Not Vaquer, though. Not Zeuxis. Not Catalina. Not any of the other foreign females coming to @aew for the first time,” she claimed.
She also brought up the way an alleged incident was handled by AEW:
“An incident went down between a member of staff and talent backstage. I witnessed it all, was among the first on the scene. I stayed w the staff member while somebody else directed talent away to defuse the situation. Throughout the entire “investigation”, I was never once asked what happened. If Manager of Talent Relations (me) was there for it all, why was I not consulted? Who knows, investigation’s over,” she wrote. “You’re a young female wrestler arriving at an enormous airport in a foreign country. You reach out for direction. You’re told you don’t get any. There’s nobody coming to pick you up, figure it out. Navigate the foreign country, language, transportation, and find your way into the backstage area of a major event. Wonder if @aew women are told to “figure it out” when they land in Mexico.”
WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, ‘liked’ Stock’s comments but didn’t comment herself. Vaquer wrestled for AEW in May and June of 2024 before deciding to accept WWE’s offer and left for NXT.
Stock commented saying: “She (Vaquer) doesn’t need to say a word. And she can’t right now, regardless. No te preocupes, Steph. Yo ví todo. Hiciste lo correcto. (“Don’t worry, Steph. I saw everything. You did the right thing.”).
While he was in AEW, Rey Fenix also complained about conditions in AEW saying before he was released: “I will have my chance to speak the truth. No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.”
Stock discussed what she believes happened with Rush when he returned after his injury as well:
“How about the 1st time Rush returns after injury. No direction all day. They throw him out there with about 20 min notice before Dynamite, tell him to just “cut a promo in English”. Every promo gets a writer. Every match gets a producer. Every person whose first language isn’t English deserves a chance to rehearse. No writer/coach this time. As the finish is going down, I get a text: “Hey, could you Produce that Rush match?” she wrote.
She did compliment the production team and the talent though writing: “The ONLY reason the shows get on the air each week is because of the incredible professionals that work there, in-ring and behind the scenes. They grit their teeth cross their fingers. They deserve better.”
Thus far, AEW has not addressed the accusations.
