Boxer Ryan Garcia is not happy about his appearance on Raw last week. He thinks he deserved better.
In the much-maligned segment, Danhausen joined Joe Hendry in one of his musical interludes. The mini concert was complete with mini-Danhausens and the Clippers Spirit, the official professional dance team for the NBA’s LA Clippers.
Garcia was sitting in the front row and the Spirit invited him to join in on the fun and so he did. He then entered the ring and picked up one of Hendry’s guitars. When Hendry’s back was turned he hit him with it, shattering the guitar. Before Danhausen could curse him, Dominik and JD of the Judgment Day attacked.
On his YouTube channel, Garcia responded to the criticism of the segment.
“I was on WWE. I hit Joe Hendry with a guitar. I was on Jimmy Fallon. I understand why people are trying to take me down,” he said.
He then spoke about the segment itself when an interviewer commented that it is lucky that Garcia didn’t punch Hendry as Floyd Mayweather knocked out Big Show in their boxing match.
“It is my job to stay focused and not let it get to me. Really, for me, I let people talk…They (WWE) could have given me a better segment then I wouldn’t have gotten as much hate,” he said.
He also claimed the negativity over the segment came from X, which he says is full of bots and fake accounts.
“You cannot really determine the marketplace through Twitter,” he said.
