Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, Roman Reigns had a few choice words for CM Punk.
When discussing voicing the Zebros with CM Punk in Zootopia 2, Reigns poked fun at Punk. Punk voiced the character Zebro Zebrowski and Reigns was Zebro Zebraxton.
“Who’s the other voice again in this? I always forget his name?” joked Fallon.
“The good thing is we didn’t have to actually do it together. We had separate studio time. So, you can clearly tell the size difference of who I am. I’m the big strapping one here, Z Braxton and then this is, like the high school dropout looking guy, CM Punk,” chuckled Reigns at a still of them from the movie.
Fallon then asked Reigns how he is preparing to face Punk at WrestleMania.
“This is going to be my 11th WrestleMania so I have a full system and a process in place. We lock into a very pro level type of camp and I just treat it like a prep. I just completely lock in, dedicate myself essentially from 5 am to 9 am. I work out three times a day. I father my kids and I husband my wife. So, I do those duties as I can throughout the day but I’ve been locked in for a while now so I’m looking forward to bringing the package that I’m bringing, and hopefully it’ll be a big one,” said Reigns.
Fallon asked Reigns if fans will be seeing a Samoan Drop at WrestleMania, for some reason.
“It’s funny because this move has a lot of history within my family. This is the move that my father created way back in his day, before me and it’s funny because if you’re paying attention to the build up CM Punk actually made a very derogatory comment about my father and what he’s going to do to me and how he’s going to reunite me with him,” said Reigns. “I know, it was pretty rude and for a guy his age to be talking to me like that. You’d think there’d be a maturation process. Yeah, that’s the Samoan drop. So in honor my father, I’m probably going to pick Phil up 50 times or so and just dump him on the back.”
Fallon then asked: “If CM Punk happens to be watching tonight before you get to Vegas is there anything you would like to say to him on camera?
“Well, what time will this be? Closer to midnight?” asked Reigns.
“We’re close to midnight now, yeah,” replied Fallon.
“Phil, most likely you’re asleep right now as you should be, you should be resting up because you need and you’re probably a little confused at your old age. You’re probably wondering: Why is Roman THERE and I’m HERE at home? That’s because I’m a way bigger star than you,” laughed Reigns.
Reigns will challenge Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
