Roman Reigns will make his return to WWE television on next week’s episode of WWE Raw in Indianapolis, setting the stage for another major chapter on the Road to WrestleMania 42.
CM Punk announced it during the February 23 broadcast. After the Atlanta crowd voiced their frustration over Roman Reigns’ absence, Punk took aim at his rival, pointing out that he is present every Monday while Reigns has been working a more limited schedule. Punk then shifted focus to his upcoming Elimination Chamber opponent, Finn Balor, but made it clear that Reigns’ return is looming.
Reigns was last seen on Raw following the Royal Rumble, where he confronted Punk in a tense in-ring exchange. During that segment, Reigns revealed he had already made his WrestleMania decision and told Punk directly that he hated him, intensifying their rivalry.
Besides Roman Reigns’ Return, What Else Is Happening On Next Week’s WWE Raw?
Next week’s episode of Raw will also feature championship action, as Dominik Mysterio defends the Intercontinental Championship against Penta. Penta earned the opportunity by defeating El Grande Americano on last week’s show.
In addition, Gunther is scheduled to face Dragon Lee. The match stems from last night’s opening segment, where Gunther criticised fans in Atlanta for celebrating AJ Styles instead of him. Adam Pearce ordered security to escort Gunther out of the building, but Dragon Lee attacked him on the ramp, leading to a chaotic backstage brawl. Lee is now seeking retribution on behalf of Styles.
