Former WWE star Ridge Holland has provided an update on his upcoming neck fusion surgery.
Ridge Holland was a guest on Busted Open Radio earlier today and spoke about his recent injuries and release from WWE. This comes after a GoFundMe campaign was set up on behalf of Holland by a family member, but he had the fundraiser taken down and announced that all the money raised would be donated to charity.
On Busted Open, Holland spoke about his Lisfranc injury he suffered working a dark match against Moose at a TNA Impact taping on September 27, but also his upcoming neck fusion surgery and stated that WWE will also be paying for this upcoming surgery, as well as the costs associated with his Lisfranc injury.
Why Was Ridge Holland Released From WWE?
It was announced on October 13 that Ridge Holland’s WWE contract would not be renewed when it expired on November 14. However, Holland took to social media on November 4 to air out his grievances with the company, stating that he felt “hung out to dry” and “totally f**ked” by them.
WWE saw this as a breach of his contract and used the opportunity to terminate it early on November 5, meaning he would not get paid for the remaining nine days left on his deal.
