Matt Riddle is continuing to take shots at CM Punk in the media and now has targeted his wife, AJ Lee, as well.
Three weeks ago on TMZ‘s Inside The Ring Podcast, Riddle said: “I have good friends on the roster that still say he’s a bitch to work with.”
He then gave credit where credit it due though: “If he didn’t generate the amount of money and attention that he does, he wouldn’t be there. Kudos to him. The guy packs an arena. He sells tickets. He sells merchandise.”
He then targeted comments about Punk again while speaking to TMZ.
From out of nowhere, he challenged Punk to a fight.
“CM Punk’s a bitch. He can’t beat me in a fight. If he wants to step up he can meet me in a bare-knuckle boxing fight. He can meet me in an MMA cage. Whatever, dude. It doesn’t matter,” he said.
He went on to make no-so serious allegations about Punk.
“I have no ill will towards CM Punk. I bet he’s a nice enough guy if you agree with him. I think he’s fake and I think he’s a creep and that’s coming from me and people think I’m a creep. I feel like he’s just lingering around the NXT locker room a little too much,” he said.
He then commented on Punk’s wife, AJ Lee.
“AJ, you know, I have no problems with her. She never stepped into it. I mean, to be fair, and I’m not one to talk, but she did get around from what I heard but no disrespect to that. People like to hook up and if that’s the worst thing she did, whatever, dude. I’ve done it too.”
Recently, Riddle was accused of no-showing a charity event which would have seen him take on Simon Miller during a Global Wrestling Kingdom event in the UK.
“Mr Riddle has now paid back his deposit and has given us his word that he will reimburse his expenses too,” the promotion wrote today.
Riddle himself put out a video denying he was stiffing the promotion. He had already told them he would pay back the money and that the charity aspect was last minute change.
