Ric Flair has apologised to fans for missing his scheduled appearance at AEW Blood & Guts.
On the November 8th edition of Collision, Tony Schiavone announced that Ric Flair would be reuniting with Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat at Blood & Guts in Greensboro, North Carolina. However, while Steamboat was involved in an angle with FTR on the show the following Wednesday, there was no sign of The Nature Boy.
It was later reported that Ric Flair did appear in front of the live crowd before Dynamite went on the air, but left the event early. Now, the WWE Hall of Famer has taken to social media to explain his absence and apologize to fans.
Flair confirmed a report from the Wrestling Observer that he left due to being in a lot of pain from a recent rotator cuff injury. He thanked Tony Khan for the opportunity to be there and said he did get to catch up with Steamboat.
“I Want To Apologize To Everyone For Having To Leave The @AEW Show Early Last Wednesday Due To My Rotator Cuff Injury. I Appreciate @TonyKhan Giving Me The Opportunity To Be On The Show. It Was Nice Catching Up With All The Great Talent And Ricky Steamboat. I Look Forward To Being Invited Again. After I Have My Shoulder Healed Up, I Will Be Back Up & Running. I Just Want You All To Know That I Would Never Disappoint You Intentionally.”

When Did Ric Flair Last Appear In AEW?
Ric Flair has been part of AEW since October 2023, when he made an appearance to honor Sting ahead of his retirement. The following month, it was announced that Flair had signed a multi-year deal with the company which included his Wooooo! Energy drink becoming the “exclusive energy drink of AEW.”
Flair last appeared on AEW TV back in May at the Collision Beach Break special, where he paid tribute to his friend Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael after the former WCW and football star sadly passed away on April 23rd.
