Ric Flair has once again sparked talk of a return to the ring, revealing he is considering another match despite his highly promoted “Last Match” in 2022.
During a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, the 76-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was asked by fans whether he had one more bout left in him. Ric Flair confirmed he had recently been offered a match against fellow WWE Hall of Famer, 69-year-old Ricky Morton.
“Who told you about that? Somebody wants me to wrestle Ricky Morton. I’m thinking about it,” Flair said. “Far from, way off on financial terms. It’s just something to motivate me. Man, just to go to the gym every day for f**king nothing is…”
When Was Ric Flair’s Last Match?
Ric Flair last wrestled on July 31, 2022, at Ric Flair’s Last Match in Nashville, Tennessee. He teamed with Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. The bout was later overshadowed by serious health concerns, with Flair revealing he passed out twice due to dehydration and believed he suffered a heart attack during the match.
After the event, Flair expressed regret over promoting it as his definitive retirement. In September 2022, he said he would never retire, though he later reversed that stance in January 2024, stating there would be “no return to the ring ever.”
