Rey Mysterio‘s planned match with Dominik Mysterio could be taking place at a major upcoming WWE pay-per-view.
Last night on WWE Raw, Rey Mysterio made a surprise return to confront his son, Dominik Mysterio, and reignited their feud that has been on and off since 2022. Dominik addressed the Raw crowd last night and stated that he is “the greatest luchador of all time”, and just as he finished his statement, Rey’s iconic music hit, and he came out to say not only is Dominik not the greatest luchador, but he is an insult to the family name.
The promo battle ended with Rey saying that as long as he’s around, Dominik will never be the greatest Mysterio, and just as Dominik looked to be turning away, he turned back to strike Rey, and the two began exchanging blows until Rey delivered a head scissors and then his signature 619. Rey then climbed to the top rope to deliver another blow, but Dominik scrambled out of the ring and escaped up the entrance ramp.
Where Could The Dominik Mysterio Vs. Rey Mysterio Match Take Place?
Obviously, this segment has set up a potential match between the Mysterios, and Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio that the Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio match is too big a match not to have it on a major show, and suggested Survivor Series, which takes place on November 29 in Rey’s hometown of San Diego, California. Meltzer stated:
“This was put over too big to not do it on the San Diego show. I think they have to do it there.”
