Rey Mysterio has announced a cross-promotional tournament featuring stars from Raw, SmackDown and AAA, with the winner earning a World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns on the September 14 episode of Raw in Mexico City. Mysterio revealed the tournament in his role as AAA General Manager following a backstage conversation with Reigns on this week’s Raw. The tournament begins next Monday, although no participants have been announced. The title match will headline WWE’s return to television in Mexico for the first time in 15 years as part of a week that also includes SmackDown, live events and AAA Triplemanía 34.

The injury reportedly occurred when Jacy Jayne drove her shoulder into the steel steps during the six-woman tag match. Brie was taken to hospital after the event, but neither she nor WWE has announced a timetable for her return.
