FTR could be heading back to the WWE.
BodySlam reports that: “Sources close to the situation describe FTR as believing their value and consistency over the last several years should place them among AEW’s top-tier acts financially….There has also reportedly been at least preliminary interest from WWE communicated through mutual contacts as the situation continues to draw attention internally.”
It is believed that the contract Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler signed four-year contract extensions with AEW in 2023.
Bodyslam also states: “We’re told the team are now approaching the option year of that agreement, placing renewed focus on FTR’s long-term future within the company.”
FTR lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships over the weekend at Double or Nothing to Adam Copeland & Christian Cage in an I Quit Match.
