Escobar returns after brief “alumni” status
It seems as if Santos Escobar’s time in WWE isn’t over quite just yet.
PWI is reporting that even after being moved to the “alumni” section of WWE’s official site he is back with the company.
“We are told that WWE management considered Escobar’s creative concerns and, we are told, made Escobar a sizeably larger offer than any of their previous overtures. At that point, Escobar agreed to terms. The belief is they came to an agreement late yesterday,” reports Mike Johnson.
In the WWE, the leader of the Legado Del Fantasma faction in NXT and WWE Escobar won the NXT Cruiserweight Championship once. The faction was himself, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.
Escobar hasn’t wrestling on TV since Smackdown back in May. He was defeated by Rey Fenix.
His last big match for WWE was the Royal Rumble 2025 which he was a part of. Before that you would have to go all that back to WWE WrestleMania XL in 2024. Andrade and Rey Mysterio defeated Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar.
In recent news, Santos Escobar is reportedly set to be backstage at the October 27 episode of Raw.
