A former WWE star revealed that they could require neck surgery while they are currently recovering from a serious foot injury.
Ridge Holland suffered a foot injury last month at a TNA TV taping in a match against Moose and has been left unable to wrestle for six months due to the injury and surgery needed to repair it. Now, Holland has posted to social media yesterday, letting fans know of another medical issue that could cause a further setback in his plans to return to the ring.
Holland posted a video on his Twitter explaining that prior to suffering his foot injury, he had suffered a neck injury that he had planned to get imaging for and is now going to see a neck specialist for, and if the news is bad, he could require another surgery to fix his neck issues. Holland said he is suffering from some “nerve impingement”, causing pain in his arm and is hopeful that he may only require injections to help release the nerve.

When Was Ridge Holland Release From WWE?
Ridge Holland was informed on October 14 that his current WWE contract will not be renewed and will be allowed to expire on November 14. The company is still paying for his injury rehabilitation, but his guaranteed pay will come to an end once his contract expires. Holland expressed frustration with this, as he will be unable to wrestle for six months due to his foot injury, meaning he will be unable to earn money from wrestling until he is fit to compete.
Holland joined WWE in 2018 after attending a tryout and competed on the NXT brand until 2021, when he was called up to the main roster to compete on SmackDown. However, this stint on the main roster was short-lived as Holland was moved back to NXT in 2023, where he had some success in 2024 as he won the NXT Tag Team Championship with Andre Chase in August, and competed for the NXT Title against Trick Williams at Deadline on December 7.
