An update has been provided on a shocking WWE SmackDown title change that occurred on the November 7 episode.
On the November 7 episode of WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green defeated Giulia to win the Women’s United States Title, a title change that was not expected by the fans. Green won the title with help from Alba Fyre, who attacked Kiana James on the outside of the ring, and as a result, Giulia retaliated by kicking Fyre from inside the ring. After Giulia delivered her kick, Green rolled up Giulia and put her feet up on the ropes to give herself extra leverage to pin Giulia for the three count and to win the title.
Now, Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net has posted an update on the situation by replying to a fan’s question on Twitter as to why the title change happened. According to Hays, WWE is planning to push Giulia into the main event picture of the WWE SmackDown women’s division, meaning she could be going on to face Women’s Champion Jade Cargill in the near future.
The plan weeks ago was for her to enter the main event scene. Hoping that’s still the plan and she took the L like that to Chelsea for that reason
