AEW has launched a new international streaming platform, and a new report has shed light on the reason behind the move.
AEW recently introduced MyAEW, a global streaming service designed for fans outside North America. The MyAEW platform, developed in partnership with Kiswe, brings AEW and Ring of Honor programming together in one place while giving the company greater control over its digital distribution.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to create the new platform was partly influenced by Triller’s financial position as the company’s previous international streaming partner. The report states that the promotion has been seeking a more stable, long-term solution for distributing its content globally.
MyAEW is expected to eventually serve as the company’s primary streaming home for international audiences. Even if Triller’s situation improves, the new platform allows the company to avoid sharing streaming revenue and maintain greater control over its content.
MyAEW’s Pricing Structure
The service launched with several subscription options. A $7.99 monthly tier includes access to Dynamite, Collision, ROH TV, special events, and a television archive. A $19.99 monthly plan includes the month’s pay-per-view event and select pay-per-view archive content. Fans can also choose a $119.99 annual package that includes every pay-per-view event for the year.
Company President Tony Khan has described MyAEW as a “purely international play,” with the platform targeting markets such as Europe, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Brazil.
As part of the launch, the promotion has also introduced a free “Watch AEW” FAST channel within the platform. The ad-supported stream offers selected content at no cost, allowing viewers to sample programming before deciding whether to subscribe to a paid tier.
