Fresh off his Elimination Chamber victory, Randy Orton is embracing a new chapter in his WWE career.
Randy Orton secured his WrestleMania 42 title opportunity by winning the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber match, last eliminating Cody Rhodes after a distraction from Drew McIntyre. While his championship opponent is yet to be confirmed, Orton made it clear that he is finding fulfilment beyond just chasing gold.
Speaking on the Elimination Chamber post-show, “The Viper” admitted he never expected to be in a position where younger talent look to him for guidance. He specifically highlighted Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Myles Borne as stars he is eager to work with.
“I’ll be honest, it’s quite fulfilling,” Orton said. “Like Je’Von Evans, bless his heart, he looked great out there tonight… seeing him, seeing Trick, seeing the other young guys, a few guys down in NXT, Myles Bourne’s one of them, there’s a lot of guys that I’m excited to talk to and I can tell they’re excited to listen.”
Orton explained that he takes pride in the smaller details of his craft and enjoys sharing that knowledge with the next generation.
“I feel like there’s a certain lane that I stayed in where I make little things mean something,” he said. “Just last night I was able to talk with a couple of young guys and I could tell that they were really excited to hear what I had to say… ‘Oh wow, this Randy knows his s***.’”

The multi-time world champion also stressed that he still has plenty left to offer inside the ring.
“I have a lot to give back,” Orton added. “It’s fulfilling to me and it fills my lungs up with fresh air, man, it makes my heart beat faster. I love this business and if I can do it ten more years, I will, God willing.”
As for WrestleMania 42, Randy Orton’s opponent remains up in the air. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has announced that Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes on this Friday’s SmackDown, meaning Orton will soon learn who stands across from him on the grandest stage of them all.
