Randy Orton knows he has to make his record-extending 10th Elimination Chamber entry count.
On February 28th, Randy Orton will enter the Elimination Chamber for the 10th time in his career. He first set the record when he took part in his 9th Chamber match, having previously tied John Cena and Chris Jericho, who have eight entries each.
During an interview on ESPN’s Get Up, The Viper admitted the bout is an “unforgiving” experience, but with more of his career behind him than in front, he wants to make this year count.
“Yeah, 10 Elimination Chambers is a lot of Elimination Chambers. I’ve definitely- my body’s been beaten. I’ve been all over that ring and that Chamber, man, it is unforgiving. But I take a lot of experience with myself into that Chamber, and I’m gonna use it this Saturday, and I’m gonna win the thing and go to WrestleMania, man. I’ve only got so many more years that I’m gonna be able to do this, and I’m enjoying every second of it. So at the Chamber, I gotta make it count.”
Despite having themost experience in the match, Orton has only won one Elimination Chamber bout. Back in 2014, he successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena, Sheamus, Cesaro, Christian, and Daniel Bryan – now known in AEW as Claudio Castagnoli, Christian Cage, and Bryan Danielson, respectively. On Saturday, Orton plans to repeat the feat.
“I believe that was in St. Louis, and I was the bad guy, man. I came out last in the pod. Daniel Bryan was the fan favorite. I ended up winning and going on the main event, WrestleMania. That was a huge win for me, and I plan on doing it all again this Saturday.”
Randy Orton Wants To RKO Tom Brady
Randy Orton has joined other WWE stars in hitting back at Tom Brady after the former quarterback called pro wrestling “very cute.” The Viper said that while he’s never met Brady, he had gone to the top of the list of people he wants to drop with an RKO. Orton wasn’t the only star to call out Brady for his comments, with the likes of Paul Heyman, Liv Morgan, and Drew McIntyre also letting their feelings be known.
