Raja Jackson has been released from jail after completing a 90-day sentence for his August 2025 attack on independent wrestler Syko Stu. Jackson pleaded no contest to felony battery with serious bodily injury and was also ordered to pay more than $81,000 in restitution and serve two years of formal probation. The attack took place at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles, where Jackson slammed Stu and repeatedly punched him, leaving him unconscious and with a serious head injury. Stu later said he held no grudge against Jackson, although his injuries were reportedly severe enough to potentially end his wrestling career.
Dave Meltzer believes Vince McMahon is unhappy about remaining outside WWE, despite his increased wealth following the company’s merger with UFC under TKO. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said WWE had been McMahon’s entire life and that he had wanted to remain in charge indefinitely. McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO in January 2024 following allegations of sexual assault, emotional abuse and sex trafficking, with the civil case closing in July 2026. TKO CEO Ari Emanuel has also recently discussed his dealings with McMahon, including proposing the WWE sale and UFC merger, while JBL has suggested McMahon could eventually tell his side of the story in a book.
Former WWE star Joseph Sawyer, previously known as Joe Gacy, has withdrawn from Friday’s Wrestling Revolver event due to a knee injury suffered at GCW The Score. Sawyer was hurt while defending the GCW Championship against Jeffrey John when a cannonball to the knee forced the match to be stopped. Although Sawyer initially feared he could be sidelined for months, he later said the injury wasn’t expected to keep him out for long. Wrestling Revolver described it as a “minor injury” and said Sawyer would return to the promotion soon. Sawyer recently debuted in TNA alongside former Wyatt Sicks teammate Samuel Shaw.
