Penta says winning the Money in the Bank briefcase is the culmination of his 20-year career.
At Money in the Bank, Penta overcame some of the biggest stars in WWE to win the coveted briefcase and a shot at a World Championship. Following the bout, the star appeared on WWE Now and said the victory was the result of taking every opportunity he was offered over the last two decades.
“I’m so proud of me, because it’s 20 years I fought for every opportunity in my life because nothing was given to me. And this is the proof. You have to fight every night, I have to fall many times, but no matter when you… and you might only have one thing that is successful.”
Continuing, Penta credited his family for the faith they had in him throughout his career.
“This beautiful briefcase is not just for Penta. This briefcase represents all those people who believe in me. So my family, my wife, my daughters, because everything, sacrifice now is inside this briefcase.
“I understand something. So this briefcase is the best key for Penta to become a world champion.”
Penta Has Not Decided On Which Champion To Challenge
Now that he is the new Mr Money in the Bank, attention has turned to who Penta will challenge for a world title. However, the former Intercontinental Champion is in no rush to make his choice.
“Not yet. Not too soon. This is a big surprise, because I was thinking something when I climbed to the top of the ladder, this is the real key for I will become World Champion, right?
“Now I decide when. I decide where, and I decide against who.”
