Paul Heyman will be absent from WWE Raw indefinitely following last week’s brutal attack by Seth Rollins.
During Monday night’s broadcast, commentator Michael Cole revealed that Paul Heyman suffered a cervical spine contusion, facial lacerations and a deviated septum during the assault. Due to the severity of the injuries, Heyman has been ruled out of action for the foreseeable future.
The attack took place on the March 2 episode of Raw after Heyman confronted Rollins in the ring. Rollins, who had returned at Elimination Chamber and cost Logan Paul his match, once again utilised a group of masked allies to create confusion at ringside.
As several hooded figures distracted Paul and Austin Theory, both men left the ring in pursuit, leaving Heyman alone. Rollins then appeared from behind with a steel chair and struck his former mentor across the back before delivering a Stomp.
The Fallout Of The Paul Heyman Attack On Last Week’s Episode Of Raw
Later in the show last week, a bloodied Paul Heyman was placed into an ambulance. However, the situation took another strange turn when it was revealed that the vehicle was being driven by LA Knight, who sped away from the arena with Heyman inside.
Rollins continued to play mind games on this week’s Raw as Raw General Manager Adam Pearce attempted to confront him in the ring. Logan Paul and Austin Theory soon arrived, hoping to attack Rollins, but the situation quickly descended into chaos when a group of masked men once again surrounded the ring.
The group swarmed the ringside area to protect Rollins, who put his own mask back on while the others moved around the ring to conceal his position. The distraction allowed Rollins to escape before Paul and Theory could get their hands on him.
With Heyman now sidelined indefinitely, the fallout from Rollins’ attack continues to shape the ongoing storyline surrounding The Vision and Raw’s top stars.
