Paul Heyman believes the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series has to be the greatest of all time.
On November 29th, Survivor Series will once again play host to WarGames. This year, the men’s match features many of WWE’s biggest stars, with Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, The Usos, and Roman Reigns teaming up to take on Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar.
With the heel team featuring his current clients in The Vision and longtime ally Brock Lesnar, it’s no surprise that Paul Heyman has been heavily involved in the build to the brutal two-ring, steel cage match.
During an appearance to promote the show on ESPN’s First Take, The Oracle explained that having the “greatest assembly of talent” for the match puts pressure on them to make this the greatest WarGames of all time.
“Plus, this is not only something where we understand the tradition of WarGames, and we have to deliver the greatest WarGames of all time, and we’re very cognizant of that fact, we have to top all the previous WarGames.”
“This Is Really An Infomercial For WrestleMania” – Paul Heyman
Pointing out that single-day tickets for WrestleMania 42 go on sale the day before Survivor Series, Paul Heyman said this meant the show had become an advertisement to sell tickets for WWE’s biggest show of the year.
“But also, this is really an infomercial for WrestleMania, because, as you must know by now, there’s such a huge publicity push out there that the individual tickets for WrestleMania Saturday, WrestleMania Sunday, go on sale on Black Friday, on this Friday.
“So we are out there just showing the world. Hey, check out this spectacle. Check out what WWE is about and our biggest show of the year, WrestleMania. Individual tickets going on sale. This is our audition for the world to come to Vegas for WrestleMania at the same time, giving the most bang for the buck and the greatest WarGames of all time.”
"This is the greatest assembly of talent on either side. … We have to deliver the greatest WarGames of all time."
