Paige has broken her silence after losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Saturday Night’s Main Event, while also appearing to side with Becky Lynch‘s long-running criticism of WWE referee Jessika Carr.
Paige and Brie Bella dropped the titles to Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid at Madison Square Garden, ending their 91-day reign after coming up short in the championship match.
Hours after the event, Paige reacted to the loss with a brief message on social media.
“Well s**t… sorry you guys ❤️”
However, it was the second post that quickly caught fans’ attention.
“Also.. Becky was right about that ref.”
Paige Seemingly Sides With Becky Lynch’s Assessment Of Referee Jessika Carr
The comment appeared to reference Jessika Carr, who officiated the title match. Over the past year, Becky Lynch has repeatedly criticised Carr’s performances, questioning why she continues to referee some of WWE’s biggest matches despite several controversial finishes.
While it is unclear whether the former AEW and WWE Women’s Champions’ comment was made in jest or reflected genuine frustration over the result, it immediately reignited discussion surrounding Carr’s officiating and Lynch’s previous remarks.
Fatal Influence left Saturday Night’s Main Event as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, while Paige and Brie Bella were forced to relinquish the titles they won at WrestleMania 42 Night One after their defeat.
