PAC Remembered by His Beloved Newcastle United

The Premier League’s Newcastle United has paid their respects to PAC.

Benjamin “PAC” Satterley died yesterday. He was just 40 years old. No cause of his death has been released.

Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, PAC was a fan and lifelong supporter of Newcastle United.

The team posted on X: “Incredibly sad news. We were honoured to welcome Benjamin and his family to St. James’ Park in 2014 and we offer our deepest sympathies to them and all those who loved him. Forever a Geordie,” they wrote with photos of PAC visiting St James’ Park, the team’s home arena.

As part of an episode of WWE This Week, PAC was filmed traveling back home to Newcastle upon Tyne and visiting the team and his family back home.

“This region is very important to me. I am very much a part of the North East…It is quite a small town but it is definitely home to me,” he said calling Newcastle United “the greatest football team on the face of the Earth”.

He explained what football and the team meant to his life.

“Growing up in England, everyone plays football. Outside of being a WWE wrestler the back-up dream was to always play for New Castle United,” he said in the segment.

Speaking to the BBC in 2015, PAC expressed his love for the team.

“Being a Newcastle fan is part of my identity. Having NUFC and being able to support them while I am overseas means the world to me. Growing up I had so many heroes. I have got fond memories of everyone from David Ginola to Alan Shearer and Robert Lee,” he said.

He also has a personal relationship with one of the players.

“Then there was big Pav Srnicek, our rock in goal for many years, who lived near my estate when I was a boy. I used to ride to his house on my bike just to see his car’s number plate ‘Pav 1’ I’m not sure if you remember Asprilla’s goal celebrations, but they are very similar to the ones I do in the ring so we would complement each other very well,” he revealed.
