Omos is heading back to Lucha Libre AAA, joining the lineup for the promotion’s major television premiere on FOX Latin America this Friday.
The former WWE Raw giant is one of several new names added to the broadcast as AAA continues to roll out matches and surprises ahead of its latest expansion into the region. The January 17 debut is being positioned as a showcase event and will feature talent from across the company’s roster, along with appearances designed to attract international interest.
Omos last surfaced in AAA at December’s Guerra de Titanes, where he made an immediate impact by attacking Dragon Lee and aligning himself with El Hijo del Vikingo and AAA executive Dorian Roldán. Although he remains signed to WWE, Omos has not appeared on WWE television in several months and has instead been used sparingly for outside appearances. His continued involvement in AAA suggests WWE is comfortable with him working select international dates while creative plans are worked out.
Besides Omos, Who Else Will Be On AAA’s FOX Latin America Debut?
AAA has announced several matches for the premier episode, with the current card including a number one contender’s bout to determine the next challenger for the AAA Mega Championship as El Grande Americano and El Hijo del Vikingo go head-to-head. Lady Shani faces Flammer in women’s action, while Niño Hamburguesa, La Parka and Mr Iguana will take on Abismo Negro, Taurus and Histeria in a trios clash.
Further announcements are expected as AAA aims to make a strong impression on its biggest television platform to date.
