Oba Femi believes a showdown with Brock Lesnar could be on the horizon.
Ever since WWE announced that Lesnar would issue an open challenge at WrestleMania 42, fans have speculated about potential opponents, with many calling for the former NXT Champion to step up to the challenge. Speaking with TV Insider, Oba Femi said the possibility of facing Brock Lesnar would be a major moment in his career.
“What a run for him,” Femi said. “He had two separate runs and they’ve both been fantastic. It would be really cool to face him. I know the fans have been asking for that match. It’s going to happen one day soon.”
Femi also praised Lesnar’s decorated career, noting his accomplishments across both WWE and mixed martial arts.
“He’s been UFC champion, multiple-time WWE champion, a Royal Rumble winner. What a run he has had. What a way to cap it off by facing ‘The Ruler.’”
The two briefly crossed paths during the 2026 Royal Rumble match, a moment Oba Femi described as a teaser for how fans might react to a potential future clash.
Brock Lesnar & Oba Femi’s Current WWE Plans
Brock Lesnar’s opponent for WrestleMania 42 has not yet been announced. The former champion is scheduled to appear on several upcoming episodes of Raw as the company continues building toward the event, including the March 16 show in San Antonio.
Meanwhile, Femi continues to establish himself on the main roster following his call-up from NXT. He defeated Rusev on Monday night’s episode of Raw, passing another test for the rising star.
Reflecting on his transition to WWE’s main roster, Femi said he has embraced the larger stage.
“There is a lot more traveling on the main roster, a way bigger audience and platform,” he said. “I’m glad everything I was able to do over at NXT happened. I was able to translate to the main roster effortlessly. The crowd has been behind me. They know my schtick. They know what I do. ‘The Ruler’ is here to stay on the main roster.”
