The two-time NXT Champion, Oba Femi, addresses the NXT Universe. He warns Cody Rhodes that at Saturday Night’s Main Event he will see the inevitable, the ruler, the destroyer in all of his glory.
Ricky Saints’ music hits. A sullen Saints comes down to the ring. He congratulates Femi. He was the better man at Deadline.
He tells Oba he won’t bow down or fade to the black. He wants to steer the universe back on track. They are one for one now. Saints gave Oba a rematch. Now, he wants his rematch.
The Men’s Iron Survivor winner, J’Von Evans’, comes out. He is wondering if he should wait until January to have the match at New Years Evil. He wants the championship match tonight.
Saints wants Evans to hold his horses. Saints against Evans would be a way better match anyways. Evans says he isn’t the “future” he is the “right now”. Evans has convinced. He agrees. Evans should go for it tonight.
Saints and Evans get on Femi’s case when he attempts to back away from a match tonight. Femi reminds Evans that he has never beaten him.
“Game on!” says Oba.
Vic pleads for Ava to sign off on the match tonight.
Tatum Paxley is in her messy abode. She has nothing left to lose now but Izzy does. Paxley holds up two male dolls. Now, Izzy is going to play HER game. One by one, the others will be eliminated until there is just Tatum and Izzy.
Kelani Jordan versus Jordynne Grace

Man, this is long, long match. Kelani doesn’t wait until Grace arrives. She meets her at the entrance way and they start throwing hands. Grace clotheslines Kelani to the floor. When they enter the ring, the official signals for the bell to be rung. Grace with the Thez Press on Jordan. Haymakers rain down.
Grace slams her three times. Kelani bounces off the ropes. Grace catches her for a Michinoku Driver. They start throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Grace nails Kelani with double knees and a running elbow smash in a corner.
Kelani drop kicks Grace’s knees out from under her, starts working on Grace’s base. Grace tries to slam Kelani off the apron. Kelani escapes. Grace goes for a stomp or something, and she lands hard on her knees on the apron. Kelani wraps Grace’s legs and knees around the steel post.
Grace throws Kelani backwards but her knee is obviously affecting her. Kelani clip her knee on the floor and slams her head into the steel ring steps. Kelani swings a steel chair at Grace’s knee. Grace moves just in time.
Grace picks up the chair that Kelani left on the floor. She walks up the stairs to bring it into the ring. The official and Grace get into a tug-of-war. Kelani super kicks off the apron. Grace falls crashing through the ringside barricade. Kelani pins her with her 450 Splash.
Winner: Kelani Jordan
Blake Monroe is getting the final touches on her make-up backstage.
In the women’s locker room, Jordynne Grace grouses about not being able to beat “rookies”. Thea Hail appears. She tells Grace not to be so hard on herself. She advises Grace to believe in herself like she never has before.
“Don’t doubt yourself!” says Hail.
“Am I really getting advice from the 16-year-old?” asks Grace.
“I am actually 22 but I have been here since I was 18 so some would say I am pretty grisled,” says Hail.
Hail leaves for the open challenge. Grace looks even more downcast than before.
Blake Monroe (c) versus – NXT Women’s North American Championship Match
Monroe addresses the universe. She is in a giving mood. It is the holidays after all. She is hosting an open challenge and match.
“So, without further ado, let’s see who the lucky lady is,” says Monroe.
A horde of women try to make their way up the aisleway.
“One at a time. I cannot wrestle you all,” pleads Monroe screeching for GM Ava.
Hail attacks Monroe from behind putting her in the Kimura Lock. Monroe taps out but this isn’t a match. There is no official and no bell has rung. Hail rushes around the ring in triumph like she has won the belt.
Vic confirms that the open challenge never got started.
Shiloh Hill is interviewed by Kelly Kincaid backstage. He has lots of pent-up energy and he is ready to release it on Lexis King. No one sleeps on Shiloh Hill, apparently. Hill dashes away and then returns for his mouth guard.
Lexis King versus Shiloh Hill
Hill bounces to the ring. He has all sorts of energy. Hill attacks King before his music even ends. He throws King to the floor. Hill bounces King off the ring apron and the announce desk. Hill picks up King slamming him into corner after corner. King grabs Hill by the trunks throwing him into a turnbuckle. King regain momentum with a couple of running drop kicks, chops the chest. King goes for another drop kick but stops short slapping Hill in the face. King and Hill clothesline each other. Hill pulls out his mouth guard. He hands it to the official, punches King over and over, hits clotheslines, a shoulder tackle and a spinning neckbreaker for a two count. King kicks Hill in the face. That just fires Hill up. Hill pins King with his modified neckbreaker.
Winner: Shiloh Hill
Kelly Kincaid speaks to NXT Champion Femi backstage. As a champion, he has learned to expect the unexpected. He asks Cody…”Who is going to carry you when I put you to the ground? That is what awaits you. I will break the Iron Survivor and on Saturday I will break The American Nightmare”.
NXT North American Champion and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion, Ethan Page heads to the ring. He says John Cena will be a distant memory a week after he is gone leaving a giant void that needs to be filled with giant ego, Page, himself.
After Page has patted his own shoulder, the lights go off and Tony D’Angelo appears behind him. Page turns around just to get slammed down. D’Angelo drops some pieces of black rubber or fabric on Page, the same material GM Ava was mailed a few weeks ago.
Sol Ruca and Wren Sinclair head to the ring.
GM Ava has a meeting with Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, Myles Borne and Dion Lennox. She announces that they will have a Fatal Four-Way match and whomever wins that will face whoever is champion at New Years Evil.
Ethan Page storms into the room. He wants to know what the hell is going on with Tony D’Angelo?
Sol Ruca versus Wren Sinclair
Ruca ducks out of the way of Wren’s charge in a corner. Backbreaker and Sol Snatcher pins Wren. In the audience is Zaria doing her slow-clap. Ruca sees her. Zaria walks off. Ruca chases after her.
Winner: Sol Ruca
Fatal Influence hits the ring to confront Wren Sinclair and the WWE Evolve Women’s Champion and Women’s Iron Survivor winner, Kendal Grey. NXT Women’s Champion Jacey Jayne, tells Grey her stocks have never been higher.
“Your reality is going to smack you in the face come New Years Evil. Your fifteen minutes is over when you lose,” says Jayne.
Grey warns Jayne that underdogs fight back. Wren gets into the verbal jousting and Lainey Reid interjects putting her in her place. Fatal Influence attacks and beats the faces down.
More of Hank and Tank in Japan. They are also interviewed backstage wearing kimonos. OTM interrupts. Hank and Tank remember what OTM did before they left for Japan. They agree to battle next week.
Blake Monroe meets with GM Ava. She claims Ava set her up to be embarrassed. Monroe ends the open challenges. Ava allows that but books Monroe versus Hail next week.
Sol Ruca and Zaria are walking outside. Zaria says she wanted to just come and support Ruca. She wishes her good luck against Bayley at SNME and turns to walk away. Ruca grabs her arm.
“I would really love it if you were there on Saturday,” says Ruca.
They apologize to each other and hug it out.
Oba Femi (c) versus J’von Evans – NXT Championship Match
Evans super kicks Femi in the face as he is jawing with the official. Femi catches him in the air as he attempts a cutter off the ropes. A running knee smash gets Evans a two count. Evans backs Oba into a corner. He clocks him with rights and lefts. One shot from Oba stuns Evans but he lands a flying kick on Oba for another two count. Oba picks up and jokes around before giving him a backbreaker and standing on Evans’ chest.
Oba grounds Evans with a face lock on the mat. Evans fights his way back to his feet as the fans cheer him on. Evans rams Oba into a turnbuckle, drop kicks him out of the ring and attempts a springboard off the apron. Instead, Oba pulls him down slamming his jaw on said apron.
Oba whips Evans towards the ring. Evans leaps on the apron, bounces off the third rope onto Oba. Oba catches him then nails him with a chop that knocks him back off the apron.
The match finally returns to the ring. Oba toys with Evans until he is dumped over the top rope. Evans flips Oba on the floor,
Vic shouts at Evans: “Remember what YOU are fighting for!”.
Evans dodges a charge by Oba. Oba flies over the announce table and almost takes out Booker and Vic.
Oba makes it back to the ring at eight. Evans frog splashes Oba on the front and back. Oba barely kicks out.
They get into a slugfest again with Evans landing punches and ducking Oba’s. Oba rolls to the floor. Evans splashes Oba on the floor. Evan leaps off the top rope. Oba punches him in the face, splashes him in a corner. Evans suplexes Oba. Oba no sells it. He charges right into a cutter though. Oba kicks out again. Evans bounces off the ropes. Oba hits him with a flying forearm. Evan kicks out at two.
Oba heaves Evans across the ring. He pops up Evans. Evans gives Oba a cutter in mid-air. Evans rushes over to a corner. He hits Oba with another cutter. Evans goes for the pin…the official is pulled out of the ring by…Ricky Saints?!?!?
A furious Evans leaps out of the ring onto Saints. He leaps back into the ring stunning Oba with a fly kick off the ropes. Clothesline from Oba, two running forearms in a corner, Fall From Grace pins Evans.
Winner: …and still NXT Champion, Oba Femi.
Saints and Femi have a staredown as we go off the air.
