NWA Powerrr Samhain Results: December 30, 2025

It’s been over two years since Matt Cardona has graced the squared circle of the National Wrestling Alliance. With the Samhain signature event, he steps between the ropes for some action against Daisy Kill, and you can be certain on this NWA Powerrr that he is Alwayz Ready.

We come to you from Center Stage in Atlanta, GA, as the NWA makes its first appearance in The Peach State in over five years. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call, and your First Match of the Night is…

“HollyHood” Haley J vs. Sirena Veil

According to Dealz, there is a reference to Haley being a competitor in the Power Slap promotion, which she and other wrestlers recently participated in. She may get a chance to showcase those skills as Haley goes β€œHollyHood” on rising star Veil, and lands a facewash in the corner to Dracula’s Assistant. She gets paintbrushed, and Veil tries to fire back.

At one point, Vipress gets on the apron, and Haley boots her off. But that isn’t the strangest thing. Midway through the match, Tim Storm comes out to join the commentary team, and he acts as if nothing happened during his time as Baron Von Storm. Makes one wonder who helped reboot his brain?

But, I digress.

Veil stages a comeback with a senton to cover for a two count, and then she whips her to the corners and drives the double knees to the back of Hollyhood. She adds some Kawada kicks, but Haley catches her last boot and backdrop suplexes her on the mat. A Shining Wizard, followed by a ripcord clothesline, gets Haley a count of two. She swings again and misses, and Veil catches her with a headbutt and dumps her unceremoniously to Vipress and a β€œsecurity guard.” The ref starts to count her out, but Haley gets back in at nine, slaps the taste out of Veil’s mouth, and finishes with a stomp to make a statement.

Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are here to provide a message for the tag team, The Hard Way. The Good Brothers make their debut in the NWA, AND guarantee tonight will be a Magic Killer, and it’ll be just Too Sweet

Big Strong Mims cuts a promo on his two jobs in the NWA. First, he is a gatekeeper who decides who’s in or out. He made sure of that with Pope. Second, his other job is to be on top of the roster, and he’ll get back to that when he faces El DragΓ³n Nihan, and the job will get done.

Now for tag action with…

The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson) vs. The Hard Way (“The Veteran” Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie)

Fans pop hard for the Good Brothers. Vaughn and McKenzie are no strangers to the NWA and have a big opportunity to make an impression.

McKenzie works Anderson to start, and they trade blows in the corner. A dropkick to the leg, and McKenzie gets him to the corner to tag Vaughn in. He adds some punishment until Anderson makes the tag to the Big LG, but The Veteran nails Gallows with a throat chop to even the odds. Now, The Hard Way whip him to the ropes for a double clothesline, but Gallows ain’t doing Red Rover, and he bulldozes through both men.

Back to Anderson, and Vaughn and McKenzie cut the ring in half as they take away The Machine Gun’s ammo, and he becomes a Brother in Peril. Vaughn cinches him with a bear hug to squeeze the air out of him and then drops Anderson like a sack of potatoes. He rushes to the corner, and Anderson ducks out of the way. A hot tag to Gallows, and The Bug LG is en Fuego on both men.

The Brothers connect with a backdrop/neckbreaker to Vaughn for a two count and set up the Magic Killer but McKenzie stops them in their tracks. Now, the Hard Way attempt with a Hart Attack on Anderson, and Gallows clotheslines McKenzie out of the ring. Vaughn is alone, and the Magic Killer makes a mark in this tag team match.

Kenzie and Kylie Paige are with their dad, Tommy Henry, on facing The Country Gentlemen in two weeks. They usually wouldn’t touch ’em with a ten-foot pole, but they promise Joe Cazana his sons will be β€œcaught in the Kross Fire.

Mike Mondo has a message to Wrecking Ball Legursky. He knows he’ll come after his National title next week, but his β€œmuscle is greater than mass.” It’s his time, and it’s Gut Check Time.

Now we get an Empty Arena Match, and this is between…

The Nightmare Syn (Zyon and The Man They Call Frank, with Austin Idol) vs. Tyler Franks and Hunter

NWA President Joe Cazana is sitting at commentary and explains why this match is taking place. His reason? β€œFans don’t deserve to see it,” is the rationale. Mostly, this is just his way of abusing his position to punish those affiliated with the Kross Fire promotion with The Power of Douchenozzleryβ„’.

Daisy Kill wants to say hello to Cardona and welcome him back. He acknowledges he’s the man, but tells him to tread carefully, and they’ll show Atlanta a good time (Good Time!)

Carson Drake has his spin on The Devil Went Down to GA, and he doesn’t want to do a casket match because he’s too rich to die. The Slimeballz try to help, but Aron Stevens tells them to think elsewhere and get a bar of soap. He gives a message to The Lost that even though this is their type of match, they’ve dug their own grave.

Now it’s time for the Main Event between…

Daisy Kill vs. Matt Cardona

Once the bell rings, Cardona ducks out, telling Atlanta he’s gonna do it on his time. He heads back to the squared circle for a lock-up, and Kill preens outside, broadly asserting he won’t play along with his mind games. He ties his hair back, and both men show off for the fans, who are more in the corner of The Indy God than they are the Rock Star of the NWA. Once the peacocking is done, Cardona then eats a spinebuster and almost gets pinned, but he kicks out and then rolls out of the ring for a timeout.

Kill follows and works the body. He sends him back to the squared circle and gets some punches to Cardona’s head. As Kill climbs back in, Cardona is Alwayz Ready with a punt to the middle ropes to his…err, inner Daisy’s.

He follows with Radio Silence for one, two…kick out by Kill, and Cardona is beside himself as no one has ever done that with his finisher. A schoolboy from behind gets Kill a near-fall, and Cardona comes back with a clothesline, followed by some ground-and-pound action. He rushes to the corner, where Kill trips him up and rams him headfirst into the second turnbuckle. A ripcord clothesline misses, and Cardona now delivers with a flash Radio Silence, and he makes the emphatic pin for one, two, and three.

After a commercial break, Cardona gets on the mic and wants a shot at the Ten Pounds of Gold. He wants Billy Corgan out to face him in the ring.

Out comes Eric Smalls with a steel chair, and the NWA President is here, too, since he ain’t no Zero.

Smalls takes the mic from Cardona, and I’ll let Corgan say his peace:

“Matt Cardona, welcome back to an NWA ring. I’m getting the feels standing here with you, because the last time you were in an NWA ring, this hallowed National Wrestling Alliance ring, I got within an inch of your nose, and I told you, Matt Cardona, ‘Go to hell.’ You remember that? Matt, remember that night? Heck, I cursed your name. I cursed your family, I even prayed that your wife would divorce you so there’d never be another Cardona coming down the line ever again.

And was that behavior becoming of a CEO and president of this incredible wrestling brand? Did I disgrace this brand with my behavior?

Probably.

Was it worth it?

No, it wasn’t worth it. I’m out here to tell you I owe you an apology. Matt Cardona, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. First of all, you are a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and you deserve my respect and these people’s respect. Only 60 men have held the Ten Pounds of Gold, and you’re one of them.

I hear you. Matt Cardona and I underestimated you, Matt Cardona. I thought you were just another scumbag carney taking advantage of this promotion. Now listen, I said I was wrong. I am apologizing to you. No one has done more for professional wrestling in the last two or three years than Matt Cardona; that’s a shoot from the bottom of my heart. So words are cheap. Talk is cheap. I’m going to make you a promise the next time you stand in this ring, this hallowed ring. The next time it will be for the Ten Pounds of Gold. It will be for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and please accept my apology.”

Well, isn’t that a daisy? Cardona is happy, as are the fans in attendance, as he shakes his hand and accepts his apology, as this part of Samhain comes to a close.
