NWA Powerrr results – 12/9/2025

The First title defense of Natalia Markova will be the highlight of the NWA Powerrr main event.

Natalia Markova wants to prove that she is a great women’s champion in the National Wrestling Alliance, and on this NWA Powerrr, she puts The Burke on the line. However, her first title defense is against someone she has gone to war with before—the Non-Binary Nightmare known as Max the Impaler.

We’ll see who is standing after tonight, as we are in the Powerrrstation at the WEDU Studios in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli, Austin Idol, and Danny Dealz have the call, and your First Match of the Night is…

Carson and Lockjaw Drake (with Aron Stevens) vs. The Rewind Society (VHS and Samuel C)

Rewind Society are still fan favorites in Tampa.  Now, if they could just win a match in the NWA.

Well, the Drakes, whom Kyle Davis announces as “cousins,” are definitely not going to have them spoil their tag team debut.  Lockjaw faces VHS, and he dances a bit before being taken down by the stoic family member.  Now he tags in to Carson, but VHS fights back with a sit-out jawbreaker and sends him outside reeling.  VHS gives chase, and as Carson runs around the ring ,he dives back into the squared circle and blind tags Lockjaw.  He grabs VHS and nails a German suplex to cover for a two count.  Methodical offense by Lockjaw, and as he rushes for a splash, VHS gets up a boot to stop the offense.  A tag to Samuel, but he eats a spear by Lockjaw, so he can’t go En Fuego.

Carson calls for the tag, and Lockjaw abides.  He puts a sleeper on Samuel (called the Capital Gains Tax), and it’s night-night for the Rewind Society.

Kyle Davis gets in the ring to serve as Carson Drake’s mic stand. He mentions that Colby Corino is out of commission with a neck injury and that he probably did it to avoid facing him. We hear some music, and Corino is out with his neck in a brace and carrying a shovel, and he clears the ring.

After a commercial break, Corino thanks the fans for their well-wishes.  But let’s hear it from him:

First, I just want to thank every single person who has sent me a letter, a DM, a text, because I need to be real with y’all. When I was laid up in that hospital for five days, I was too scared to look at my phone. I thought that it would be impossible for me to ever step in this ring again, let alone wrestle. But when I got out of that hospital, I looked at my phone, and I was overwhelmed in one of the best ways possible, because I found out what I mean to each and every one of you, and I figured out that every ounce of blood that I’ve spilled In this ring, that every holiday I’ve missed with my son, every birthday I’ve missed for my wife, every time I wasn’t there for my family, was worth it, because you all are my family too.

As pro wrestlers, we’re expected to step in this ring and be larger than life, and for my whole life, I believe that because growing up, I watched my dad be my superhero.  And for the past 17 years, I’ve been trying to be someone else’s superhero, even if it was just one person.  I wanted to be that one person that someone needed. They could look at me and know that if Colby Corino could do it, that they could do it too.

There’s a point Corino tugs at his neck brace, and then continues:

But the cold truth is that this…this just reminds me that I’m a human, and I’m human just like you and you, you,
you and you and you, and even, unfortunately, Carson Drake.  But there’s a difference between us and Carson Drake. Carson Drake is the type of human that will step on someone else if it makes him look a little bit taller. Carson Drake is the type of person that will step on someone else’s shoes and they’ll make him look just a little bit better. And everyone might look at me right now, and they might see a broken man.

That’s okay, though, because sometimes people break.  Sometimes people fail, but failing is not just for failures; it’s for everyone.
Just because you fall down doesn’t mean you can’t get back up.  And just because I’ve broken now doesn’t mean that I won’t come back stronger, better, and smarter than ever to fulfill my destiny.

At that point, fans guess that “Break Carson’s neck!” is a good destiny as any, and Corino agrees with the chants.  He vows to do that once he gets healthy, and then it’s to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Powerful stuff from the Prince of Old School, and we wish him the best.

Odinson and Kratos cut a promo on wanting to dominate in the NWA. The Most Feared proclaims they are a walking horror movie and are the NWA World tag team champs for a reason.

I can’t wait to see who will step up to these Immortals down the road.

Earlier today at the NWA Boardroom, Tommy Henry got in the grill of NWA President Joe Cazana. AJ Cazana tells him to watch his tone and to sign this NWA cooperation agreement, or else. As Henry refuted what was demanded of him, Carson Drake wondered why he was here. AJ advises that he and his cousin Lockjaw face The Holy Grail next week on NWA Powerrr, and the Slimeballz will have a shot with the Southern Six for the NWA US Tag Team Championship.

I’m already entertained and excited for next week.

Up next is your match between…

KC Cazana vs. Hunter

We learn from Galli that this is now a “Cazana-mandated No disqualification” match.  Already, the dirty tricks are cropping up, even though Cazana and company would argue it’s By the Book.

Hunter tries to take advantage straightaway, but he is no match for the younger Cazana.  He manages a huracanrana, and then attempts a springboard maneuver, but Cazana knocks him down with a blow to his back.  Then he tosses the lighter Hunter outside and grabs a steel chair.  Swing and a miss, as Cazana hits the post and the pain shoots up his fingers.  Hunter peppers him, but Cazana manages to toss it in his face like a fastball.

He follows with a discus punch, but Hunter adds a little stank and nails a chop to White Lightning’s chest. They brawl outside, and Hunter attempts another chop, but Cazana moves at the last second and hits the post with his hand.

The country Gentleman connects with another chairshot to his back, and he utilizes the steel to his advantage.  He props it up, adds his version of the Jackie Fargo strut, and gives Kross Fire wrestler an elevated White Lightning leg drop for a two count.  Then Cazana props the steel between the ropes in the corner.  Hunter tries a huracanrana but gets stopped, and he eats a backbreaker.  Then he whips him to the loaded corner, but Hunter reverses, and Cazana gets a taste of his own medicine.  He nails a springboard cutter, and Cazana rolls out.  Hunter has his second wind and dives with a somersault senton to the outside.  He sends him back in, and Hunter, with a standing shooting star, gets another two count.  He goes to the high-rent district hoping for a double stomp.  He misses the mark, and Cazana plants him with a running knee strike.

Once again, White Lightning grabs a steel chair in the center of the ring and sets up for a powerbomb until Kenzie Paige rolls in and uses her man’s head to hurt him in the…err, little Lightnings.  A 450 splash later gets the victory for Hunter.

After the match, Hunter and Paige get into an argument, and both lovebirds are in disagreement about how that should have ended.  Galli notes that Paige is Hunter’s fiancée, but my gut tells me they ain’t gonna get to the altar any time soon if they keep having problems.

Meanwhile, at the BitCrush, “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason talks to The Cashier Mel about how video games can introduce the God Machine, using his Ten Pounds of Gold to get into the minutiae.    The Slimeballz come out, and Mel knows about their upcoming match with The Southern Six. Mason is interested too, since they’re his running buddies.  Mel, rethinking his choices, tells the Slimeballz to “try harder.”

Some secrets aren’t worth losing your neck.

NWA Women’s World Championship: “The Champion Crush” Natalia Markova(c) vs. Sirena Veil

Apparently, this was a last-minute decision by Joe Cazana to shake up the title picture.  You can certainly agree she is a rising star, especially since “Dracula’s Assistant” was part of a recent seminar held by WWE superstar Bayley.

The bell rings, and they lock up, with Veil disrespecting Markova with a slap to the face.  This unleashes the champ’s fury as she comes back with a bulldog followed by a split leg drop, and Markova covers for a two count.

Veil rolls out and rethinks her choices.  Then she toys with Markova about getting back in the ring, and then yanks her leg to trip up The Crush.  Markova comes back with a short arm forearm shiver for a near fall, but Veil kicks her shin and then follows with a step up short enzugiri and then…

Ads (Mostly previews on next week’s Powerrr, with Trevor Murdoch and Thom Latimer out to settle who will be the number one contender for the Ten Pounds of Gold at the Samhain signature live event.  Plus, we see Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton encounter the Slimeballz, and you can tell they ain’t looking past those kooky kids.

We come back, and Veil gets Markova with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and tries to wrench her back.  A pumphandle slam gets her another two count , and she quickly goes to a sleeper.  A jawbreaker by Markova allows her to escape the hold, and she fires back with a roundhouse kick for a count of two.  They go up the top turnbuckle, but Veill trips her up, and then nails her with a front facelock set up to a leg drop, but she can’t close the deal.  Veil rushes at her in the corner, but Markova stuns in the second rope, nd the Beautiful Destruction is delivered for the one, two, and three.

After the match, Judy Lee Thomas from JCP comes out and attacks the champ. She and Veil beat her down, as this is a message being sent once the show draws to a close.
