The NWA Womenโ€™s World championship (or The Burke) is a hallowed title in the National Wrestling Alliance, and Kenzie Paige has worn it with distinction since NWA 75. Natalia Markova has challenged for the title and came up short many times, so one wonders if this is the moment on NWA Powerrr she will claim the belt at the NWA 77 signature event, or if it will be another Beautiful Disaster for The Crush?

We come to you from The Paramount in Huntington, NY. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call, and we start with your First Match of the Night….

Baron Von Storm vs. Daisy Kill (with Talos)

Kill is not ready to face The Iron Claw, and he hops out of the ring and gets on the mic to address the fans:

“Hold on now. Before I get in there and wrestle this once great champion, I have something to say about this once great state, this relic of the town.

I think the Big Apple has gone rotten. Your minds have been poisoned by the memories of old; by nostalgia. You’re living in the past, New York. The glories of your days past that you don’t have anymore.

And that’s all right. Daisy Kill is gonna give you somebody to live through, someone all you losers and scrubs…even you pretty eyes… somebody you can live through. I’m going to take you from the old times and into the good time.

Good Time!

And I’m going to start with this piece of trash.”

With that, he goes back into the ring, but Kill is no match as he called down the Storm, and now he got it, getting a gash on his cheek midway into the match. He avoids the Claw again, and runs out, and runs into Talos, but even the big man (and Slam! Wrestling columnist) backs off a little since he wants none of that smoke. Back in, Kill goes to the corner, whips him to the other side, and follows with a bulldog for barely a one count. It’s Kicks Ahoy by Kill and Storm smiles at this futile offense. The Baron fires up and calls for the Iron Claw. Talos slips in a chair to Kill, and he clocks him, which leads the ref to declare…

Your Winner via Disqualification: Baron Von Storm

The Baron finally gets the Iron Claw to Kill on the back of his skull, and he uses the chair to bang him again and again on his back, but the Baron cannot be stopped.

Tiffany Nieves and Dr. Viktor address the rumors of their relationship. Viktor proclaims that it is โ€œprofessional, โ€œ and she gets the job done; he is also helping her with coaching her life.

But let’s head back to the ring, and it is a *grudge match between…

Team Joe Cazana Productions (AJ and KC Cazana, Bullwhip Ballard, and Judy Lee Taylor, with Joe Cazana) vs Team Kross Fire Wrestling (Tommy Henry, Kylie Paige, Hunter, and Tyler Franks)

This, as Galli notes, is really a “blood feud from East Tennessee traveling to NYC” between the rivalries of both NWA territory promotions.

A shoving match starts things off as the ref tries to keep order. Once things settle, KC squares off on Hunter, and things donโ€™t look suitable for “White Lightning.” Henry tags in to face AJ, who is a Bullheaded Brute to the KFW patriarch. Now it’s back to Hunter, who doesnโ€™t fare well with AJ and less so with Ballard. Franks tags in and gets some traction, but he meets a nasty right haymaker. Thomas steps in, and Kylie enters, and both women get rather violent, especially as the younger Paige gives a boot to Judy, and a codebreaker lands a two count. Thomas returns the favor with a hip attack, and Papa Joe is loving this on the outside, even as he tosses in kendo sticks.

The teams get into a donnybrook, and chaos ensues. The Country Gentlemen give a flapjack/big elbow to Hunter, even KC gets fancy with a Fargo Strut to a leg drop for a two count, and that leads to…

Ads (which is okay, as it serves a purpose, as Pope speaks about his actions last week and how Mims has forgotten who brought him to the dance). He still needs to be taught, and he can be replaced, but Pope is irreplaceable.)

We come back, and Paige squares off and is less of a lady to the Country Gentlemen with a kendo stick in her hand. After turning KC into a soprano, Thomas gives her the Sweet Tea (a torture rack to a slam). Now everyone swings with big moves, with Hunter and Franks landing a tandem move in the I-40 ( a stomp to a spinning neckbreaker). Hunter gets an assist and moonsaultts to the JCP outside. Now they set up a door with two chairs, and Hunter goes up to the high rent district. AJ intercepts him and slams Hunter down on the door. Kylie chokes out KC, and Papa Joe interjects in the matter. Franks pulls off the NWA Territories president and nails a backfist as Kylie hits a basement dropkick, but gets leveled by AJ in the process. Henry is incensed and throws hands after what he saw happen to his daughter, but the Gentlemenโ€™s Touch to a Henry ends this melee.

Your Winners via Pinfall: Team Joe Cazana Productions

Aron Stevens and Mike Mondo are on the boardwalk of Tampa, admiring the bust of James McKay. They discuss world dominance, and Stevens wants Mondo to be the dominant force.

Carson Drake speaks to his cousin “LJ” about his lackluster start at the Universal Heartthrob Invitational. He offers to be his mentor, like Stevens has been to him, and you can tell wackiness will ensue.

Now for the main event, and it is for theโ€ฆ


NWA Women’s World Championship: Kenzie Paige(c) vs. Natalia Markova

Markova comes out in the Stars and Stripes ring gear to the delight of the New York crowd.

Kyle Davis is out with the boxing style intros, and once the bell rings, they test each otherโ€™s mettle. Markova attempts with the Beautiful Destruction early and misses. There is a neckbreaker for a one count, and Paige pulls her hair and gets a stomps for a kick out. There’s a headscissors takedown, and a dive to the outside by the champ as Paige breaks down The Crush with a powerbomb to the apron.

Markova is not looking good, but she manages to reverse her fortune and nails a missile dropkick to turn Paige inside out. They throw bombs, and Markova hits a knee strike and collapses for a lackadaisical cover of one. The champ gives her a throat chop, but Markova uses the Kenzie Cutter finisher and just gets a two count. She digs deep, and there is a package piledriver by Paige as she stacks her up for one, two…so close. They battle up top, and Markova drills an avalanche Jazz Stinger, but it still doesn’t get the job done. The Beautiful Destruction misses as a Kenzie Cutter lets the champ cover for one, twoโ€ฆwhoa!! Kick out of the big finisher.

Markova delivers not one, but two, three, and four Beautiful Destruction kicks in the corner to ensure Paige stays down for the one, two, and three.
