This NWA Powerrr on Comet TV has Kerry Morton explaining his side of why he felt he had to betray “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason at The Crockett Cup. Plus, the women want a shot at the tag gold, currently held by The Hex. Marti Bell and Allysin Kay have proven time and again that they are the measuring stick for who rules the tag division. Pretty Empowered is no stranger to the women’s tag team belts, but lately, Kenzie and Kylie aren’t on the same page (no pun intended). Plus, “Hollyhood” Haley J teams with Clara Carter, and they could be the X factor to upend The Hex.

Carson B. Drake (with Aron Stevens) vs. Tyler Franks (with Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch)

Drake exudes confidence and gets Franks in a corner, only to be shoved down. He seems to be in control until a dropkick knocks him down, and he dances the Carson Drake dance and the momentum swings in favor of Franks.

He nails a springboard spinning neckbreaker, but Drake brings his elbow down on the top rope to aggravate it. Now he has a target and continues to inflict further injury on the bad wing. Franks makes an effort, but his arm finally gets the better of him, and Drake delivers The Market Crash to win.

Joining Kyle Davis in the ring is Kerry Morton, explaining his actions on why he betrayed “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason at The Crockett Cup, and I’m just gonna let him speak his mind:

“You know, I hope fathers can relate to this. When I say this, you know, as a father, (which I wouldn’t know), but as my dad would always say, ‘Son, I’m gonna always look out for your best interests.’

Isn’t that right, folks? When you want to look out for your children’s best interests, you see that when you look at Kerry Morton. You see money, you see someone who can take the NWA to new heights, and for that, folks, you’re already welcome. I’m already in your presence. I’m already in the squared circle, and I’m talking to this doofus.

So, you see, when my father told me, in the heat of the moment, when everything’s going on, to take Bryan Idol and pin Silas Mason to the count of three, I didn’t think twice. All I could think about in the heat of the moment, folks, was my daddy’s always gonna have his son’s best interest, right? And you see, folks, and especially those that are viewing us at home, I am the face of the National Wrestling Alliance. I am Mr. Kerry Morton to you, sweetheart, and I am the next NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

And as far as the future of The Southern Six, well…Kerry Morton has been all over the world on his own, beating everyone that steps in the ring with me and Silas Mason, buddy. It’s gonna be the same thing when I hit you in the ring with a Kiss It Goodbye to the count of three, and my arm is raised high. Just know this: I did what’s best for business.”

Strong words, and it’ll be interesting how he backs up those words in the weeks and months ahead.

There is a reply to the five-way scramble for the then-vacant Television title that saw Alex Misery earn the belt, and Kill worked up until Eric Smalls dropped him in the primary target. Daisy Kill is upset that he can’t get rid of the thorn in his side, but promises Smalls he has a big surprise for him next week.

Damian Fenrir vs Bonez (with Brandon McCord)

McCord seems to have collected the menagerie of The Lost that Father James Mitchell was managing. All I can say is that the wrestling equivalent of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson is living weird, and he has the talent to back that up.

In any case, the voodoo madman throws him off for a minute, but Fenrir is more than a match. Bonez attempts a dive, but his feet get caught on the top ropes, and he comes crashing down on the floor hard. Fenrir looks to take advantage, but he then gets thrown into the steep steps. He gets tossed back in the ring, where a bouble stomp by Bonez gets him a one count. He hits a spinning enzugiri followed by a poison ‘rana, but still can’t keep him down.

Fenrir gets him in a double underhook suplex and then a German suplex, but still can’t put him away. Fenrir then lands with a Spanish fly that isn’t pretty, and a Lightning Bomb (basically a crucifix to a sitout powerbomb) ends it.

Latimer talks up with El Dragón Nihan about his upcoming match, and Mason comes in to accept Dragón’s challenge, but advises he ain’t gonna take it easy. The Dragón agrees, and Mason says he’ll be out at commentary.

Thom Latimer vs. Christiano Argento

It’s the Italian Excellence versus the King of All Evil, and he is getting taken to school by the former world heavyweight champion. Argento manages to get a shot to the breadbasket, but that is short-lived as Latimer mounts with punches and whips him to the corner. He rushes, and Argento dodges at the last minute as he runs to the post, which allows the Italian to take control.

He puts on the golden wreath, but takes too long as Latimer gets back on offense. One Side of Suffering is served up, and Argento eats it.

We come back, and Kenzie and Belle start the match, but Carter and Haley pull the champ out, and Kenzie dives right after.

This is a Pier Six, as all the women brawl on the floor. The Hex takes control, and they show the ladies what made them champs in the first place. Bodies start dropping, and even Haley shows her Power Slap on Kenzie.

Kay and Bell make sure that The Hex Marks the Spot on Haley, but the ref refuses because she is not the legal person tagged in the ring. That’s when Kylie gets the dropkick on Carter and pins her in one, two, and three. Therefore, once again…
