It's the rubber match on this NWA Powerrr between "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason and Thom Latimer.

Thom Latimer was cheated out of his rematch against β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason at Samhain. Tonight, he hopes to reclaim the Ten Pounds of Gold that he lost at NWA 77 and sit atop the mountain again. It’s “Big Daddy Thrill” versus The King of All Evil, Part Two, that headlines this NWA Powerrr.

The wait is over as we get a promo covering the animosity between these two top stars of the National Wrestling Alliance.

Alex Taylor vs. Damian Fenrir

Taylor is trying to stage a comeback after losing the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship at Samhain.

He may be Too Hot to Trot, but Fenrir makes the case why you should overlook this hungry wolf. They brawl outside the ring, and Taylor sends him headfirst into the steel steps. The match favors Taylor, who is focused on getting the belt back as he spins Fenrir around and hits a backstabber. Taylor mistimes a leap in the corner that catches his…err, little Trotters on the middle tunbuckles. Fenrir gets back on offense, until Taylor gets him in a fireman’s carry. He escapes the Green Whistle, and Fenrir rolls him up for the pin and the win.

Well, that was an upset if I ever saw one. Kyle Davis gets in the ring, and Taylor lays out excuses for why he lost. Among the myriad reasons, he recently got married in Vegas, he’s also hungover and dehydrated, he had a flat tire, his tux didn’t come back in time, there was an earthquake, and locusts.

(wait, hold up. That “Joliet” Jake’s excuses from The Blues Brothers)

Either way, Davis isn’t up for this, and we have more matches to go.

Earlier, the NWA Heavyweight champion, Mason, tells Latimer he has less time before their match for the title, and just like the sands in the hourglass, he’s counting the grains until they’re all gone…just like his chances of reclaiming the Ten Pounds of Gold.

Meanwhile, Daisy Kill is at Ye Olde BitCrush, looking for a specific game. He finds Electric Axe 06, but his face isn’t on the game as he points it out to Miles, the Cashier. He tells them those copies quickly sold out and that he’ll order more, and Kill’s insistence. Miles is a little tongue-tied but says it’s time for him to strut his stuff since his tag partner is no longer with him. He thinks an open challenge would help, but Daisy has a better idea of a good time (Good Time!).

Aron Stevens is with the FOC…ATS (Federation of Champions…and The Slimeballz). Mondo and Slade are ready for Legursky and JAC in tag action tonight, and the watch on Carson Drake’s wrist says it’s Gut Check Time.

Davis is in the Ring with Daisy Kill, and calls out the roster to issue an open challenge to anyone who will dare face the Rock Star. So who will step up tonight in the inaugural Daisy Kill Reign of TerrorΒ©?

Why it’s none other than…

Kerry Morton vs. Daisy Kill

Morton and Kill are evenly matched, but the second-generation star has a few tricks up his sleeve. He gives Kill a Garvin Stomp and then a slingshot suplex for a cover of two.

At one point, Morton fishhooks him like a bass, and the Southern Six star struts his stuff like a peacock. A whip to the corner, and Morton rushes at him, but eats a back elbow by Kill. Now The Rockstar works the body and gives Morton a good time with a slingshot bulldog, and follows with a cartwheel elbow drop for two count.

Morton goes for the Kiss It Goodbye knee strike and misses by a mile. Propped up on the top turnbuckle, Kill sets him on his shoulders for the electric chair until Morton catches him off guard with a Victory Roll as the ref makes the count.

Not a very auspicious start to Daisy’s Reign of Terror.

Legursky is backstage talking up how he was a Fixer, but now he wants to fix the American Spirit. With JAC by his side, he’s confident that these colors don’t run as a tag unit.

Knox and Murdoch talk about Tyler Stevens ahead of his singles match, and the former NWA heavyweight champion makes it clear that he has a big problem in him tonight.

The Lost is not done with the FOC, and they want their souls.

Now for some tag team action between…

The Wrestling Machines (Mike Mondo and Slade, with Aron Stevens) vs. Wrecking Ball Legursky and Jesse Alexander Carter

Legursky and JAC have a strong showing early in the match and do not Fear the Gear that Slade is wearing. A Tag to Mondo, and JAC runs him down, landing a uranage.

Back to Slade, and JAC nails an exploder suplex on the Junior Heavyweight champion. He rolls out, and as JAC hits the ropes, Mondo kicks his back, and soon the numbers catch up between Slade and the National champion. The isolate him in the corner, and JAC is in Peril as he deals with a couple of well-oiled Wrestling Machines. He manages to get the hot tag to Legursky, and he is a Wrecking Ball full of American Spirit.

He connects with a powerslam to Slade for a cover, and Mondo breaks the count. The end comes when Legursky gets sent out, and JAC tries his best, but Mondo delivers Gut Check Time to end it decisively.

Tyler Stevens cuts a promo and states he is building his rep brick by brick, and tonight will be no different.

The Country Gentlemen are still beside themselves that they lost to The Slimeballz. AJ Cazana notes it took both of them to pin him, and The Bullheaded Brute promises he’ll have them dead to rights, and Joe Cazana assures us that when that happens, it will be By The Book.

Trevor Murdoch vs. β€œThe Wall” Tyler Stevens

No Mike Knox at ringside, but it matters little to “Captain Badass” Murdoch.

There is a little shoving to start. Murdoch slaps the taste out of the youngster, followed by a clothesline to th back of the head.

Stevens is no pushover as he gets his licks in and then nails Murdoch with a sidewalk slam and a running boot to the corner. Murdoch, ever the savvy veteran, rakes his eyes and delivers a flying bulldog. With that…

After the match, Pretty Boy Smooth runs in and blasts Murdoch with a chair as EC3 and Pastor C-Lo look on.

Latimer has words for Mason. He’s tired of the disrespect, and after tonight, he will have his hand raised in victory.

Big Strong Mims and Pope are together. Pope reminisces about Mims’ humble beginnings and how he guided him to be a champ. Now, somewhere along the way, Mims lost sight, and the question Pope states that everyone is wondering is how these two can come together. Mims chimed in, telling fans they will provide answers going forward and that they will be in tag action next week.

Well, color me intrigued.

Time for the Main Event and it is the rubber match for the…

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason(c) vs. Thom Latimer

Latimer comes out first to the squared circle. Before Mason’s entrance and intro gets uttered, the King of All Evil runs out, and they battle on the floor. “Thrillbilly” tosses Latimer to the steps, and they are still brawling outside as the ref struggles to maintain order. Mason finally rolls him in the ring to start the match, but Latimer comes back with a dropkick to send him out, and he dives to the floor from the apron edge in an uncharacteristic move.

Ads (well… It’s really promos, as NWA Women’s champion Natalia Markova had fun wrestling against Gisele Shaw. The Quintessential Diva agrees until TV MA sneak attacks both women. Starr and Nieves direct traffic, ordering Gretta chokeslam the champ through a table. Also, Kenzie Paige thinks her sister, Kylie, never tapped out and challenges Teal Piper in a match next week.)

We come back to the ring, where Latimer suplexes Mason from the apron edge to the center of the ring. He regains control with a backbreaker and then ragdolls Latimer to further aggravate his back.

Mason has him in a waist lock and switches to a bear hug to drive the air out of his lungs. Latimer fights through and bites his head. From there, he nails the champ with an inverted atomic drop, and it’s classic offense by the King of all Evil. He punctuates with a DDT, but when he attempts a pop-up powerbomb, Mason takes him on a ThrillRide, and he retains for one, two, and three.

After the match, Latimer stretches out his hand in a show of respect. Mason is having none of it as he turns his back and walks away holding the Ten Pounds of Gold as the show comes to a close.
