NJPW has confirmed the full schedule for this year’s G1 Climax tournament, with the annual event once again set to span multiple cities across Japan and beyond.
The tournament will begin on July 11, 2026, at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, marking a notable international start before the tour returns to Japan for the remainder of the competition.
From there, the G1 Climax will travel through key venues including Sapporo, Sendai, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Tokyo, with multiple dates at Korakuen Hall. The tournament will conclude with a two-night finals weekend at Ryogoku Sumo Hall on August 15 and August 16.
Last year’s tournament saw Konosuke Takeshita defeat Evil in the final to win G1 Climax 35. He later captured the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Zack Sabre Jr. before losing the title to Yota Tsuji at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4.
Further details on participants and block line-ups are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
