A NJPW and AEW star is confirmed to have picked up an injury while wrestling at the October 22 Collision taping.
NJPW and AEW star Tomohiro Ishii is out with a dislocated shoulder injury that he picked up in a match with Pac at the October 22 Collision tapings. The news was broken by a press release from NJPW, which stated:
“On October 22, at an AEW event in San Antonio, Texas, Tomohiro Ishii sustained a dislocated right shoulder. As a result, Ishii will miss action on forthcoming events, with his return to be determined. We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Ishii wrestle, and appreciate your understanding. NJPW joins fans in wishing Ishii a full and fast recovery.”
The 49-year-old Ishii has been wrestling for both NJPW and AEW, as well as making the occasional appearance in ROH throughout 2025, and he recently dropped the IWGP Tag Team Title, which he held with Taichi, to the Knockout Brothers (Oskar and Yuto-Ice).

Tomohiro Ishii has wrestled a total of 42 matches for AEW so far, with his last match being the one he picked up his injury while wrestling Pac on the October 22 Collision. His first outing with the company was actually way back in 2021, as he teamed with Orange Cassidy to defeat the team of The Butcher and The Blade on the November 17 episode of Dynamite.
