WWE has confirmed a title will be on the line on next week’s episode of WWE Raw.
The Women’s Intercontinental Championship will be defended on the December 15 episode of WWE Raw. Maxxine Dupri is set to put the title on the line against Ivy Nile after the match was confirmed in a promo segment that aired during a commercial break on the US feed, but was shown in full to international viewers.
The announcement came alongside further teases for next week’s show, including a potential Women’s World Title defence and a meeting between two of WWE’s most decorated tag teams.
Raquel Rodriguez positioned herself as the next challenger for Stephanie Vaquer’s Women’s World Championship after attacking Nikki Bella and confronting Vaquer in the ring earlier in the night.
In the tag division, The Usos and The New Day appear set to renew their long-running rivalry. The two teams came face to face on Raw, with New Day later hinting that a match is likely for next week. The winners are expected to move into title contention for AJ Styles and Dragon Lee’s World Tag Team Championship.
