A new champion was crowned on last night’s episode of WWE Raw.
Ethan Page captured his first WWE main roster championship after defeating Chad Gable to win the Intercontinental Championship on Monday night’s episode of Raw. The title change took place on November 2, 2026, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, ending Gable’s 92-day reign.
Page entered the match with a physical advantage after targeting Gable’s neck during the previous week’s Raw, where he delivered an EgoPlex to the champion on the arena floor. Gable continued selling the effects of that attack during their championship encounter, with Page repeatedly targeting the injured area.
Despite the injury, Gable mounted a determined defence, focusing much of his offence on Page’s ankle and repeatedly attempting to force a submission with the Ankle Lock. However, Page eventually gained the upper hand after shoving Gable into an exposed turnbuckle.
The challenger followed up with another EgoPlex before covering Gable for the three-count, securing the Intercontinental Championship and celebrating his first title victory on WWE’s main roster. The result marks another milestone for Page, who previously enjoyed championship success in NXT.
Ethan Page Ends Chad Gable’s 92-Day WWE Intercontinental Championship Reign
Before moving to WWE’s main roster, Ethan Page established himself as a prominent competitor in NXT, capturing both the NXT Championship and NXT North American Championship. He also held the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Chelsea Green, adding another title to his growing list.
Page had previously challenged for the Intercontinental Championship when he faced then-champion Penta during the May 23 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, Monday’s victory finally saw him capture the championship for the first time.
His win makes him the 96th wrestler in WWE history to hold the Intercontinental Championship and represents the 193rd title change in the championship’s history. For Gable, the defeat ends a reign that began at SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he defeated Penta to capture the title.
During his 92 days as champion, Gable successfully defended the championship on four televised occasions. He first defended it against Rey Mysterio on the August 17 episode of Raw, then defeated Dragon Lee on September 14.
Gable subsequently retained against Rey Fenix on October 12 before overcoming both Dragon Lee and Mysterio in a triple threat match on October 19. However, his fifth televised defence proved unsuccessful, with Page capitalising on the champion’s injured neck to secure the victory.
