A new TNA X-Division Champion has been crowned on last night’s episode of TNA Impact.
Cedric Alexander is the new TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion following Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact. Alexander defeated Leon Slater in the main event in a 2-out-of-3 falls match to capture the championship and end Slater’s lengthy reign.
The match was tied 1-1 heading into the deciding fall before Alexander avoided Slater’s Swanton 450 attempt and connected with multiple Lumbar Checks to secure the victory. The loss came just one day before Slater was set to officially become the longest-reigning X-Division Champion in company history. Slater had held the title since July 2025 after defeating Moose at Slammiversary.
Alexander’s victory also continues the momentum of The System faction within TNA. Alongside Alexander, now holding the X-Division Championship, Brian Myers and Bear Bronson currently reign as TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Former WWE Star Debuted On TNA Impact Following Cedric Alexander’s X-Division Title Win
The celebration for Cedric Alexander was short-lived, however, as former WWE star Fabian Aichner made a surprise appearance immediately after the match to confront the new champion and seemingly signal his intentions toward the X-Division title.
