TNA has crowned a new world champion on last night’s episode of Impact.
Frankie Kazaraian defeated Mike Santana to capture the TNA World Title, ending Santana’s reign of just over a month after he picked up the title from Trick Williams at Bound For Glory. Santana defended his title on last night’s episode of Impact against Ryan Nemeth, but shortly after the match got underway, a group of WWE NXT wrestlers attacked both Nemeth and Santana, ending the match in a no-contest.
After the NXT stars left the ring, leaving Santana lying, Kazarian entered and cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy, which entitles him to a title match whenever he chooses, and pinned Santana to capture his first TNA World Title, making him the sixth TNA Grand Slam Champion in the process as he has now held the X Division Title (won in 2004), the World Tag Team Championship (won in 2008), and the International Title (won in September 2025).
