According to a new report from Fightful Select, Iyo Sky is currently expected to win the Queen of the Ring tournament at WWE Night of Champions on June 27. Sky secured her place in the final by defeating Raquel Rodriguez on Raw and will face the winner of Friday’s SmackDown match between Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan. While Fightful reports that multiple sources have indicated Sky is the planned winner, it notes that WWE has not finalised those plans and that they remain subject to change.
Jack Perry is still negotiating a new contract with AEW after his previous deal expired, although the expectation remains that he will ultimately re-sign with the company. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that while a new agreement is expected, nothing has been finalised and “anything is possible.” The discussion also touched on a potential WWE move, with Dave Meltzer stating that he does not believe CM Punk would have any influence over Perry’s chances if WWE were interested. However, Meltzer suggested that Perry’s style may not be the best fit for WWE, making a move there seem unlikely. For now, the expectation remains that Perry will remain with AEW, though no deal has been finalised.
The June 12 episode of WWE SmackDown featured several major developments, including victories for Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair in the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, Rey Fenix retaining the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Axiom, and growing tension between Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn ahead of Rhodes’ title defence against Gunther. Despite the strong lineup, SmackDown averaged 1.038 million viewers, down 5% from the previous week and its lowest audience since January.
The show also posted a 0.20 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, its lowest mark of 2026. However, SmackDown still ranked second on cable for the night, with viewership likely impacted by the United States’ opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which drew more than 18 million viewers.
The results for last night’s episode of WWE NXT are in.
The lineup for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite has been confirmed.
