The fields for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments continued to take shape on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, with Je’Von Evans and Liv Morgan advancing to the semifinal stage.
Evans secured his place in the final four of the King of the Ring tournament by winning a chaotic fatal four-way match against Ricky Saints, Seth Rollins and Talla Tonga. The match’s closing moments were dominated by outside interference involving Rollins and The Vision. Just as it appeared Rollins had overcome interference from Austin Theory and was closing in on victory, Bron Breakker struck with a spear, taking him out of contention.
Evans capitalised on the opening, hitting an OG Cutter on Saints before scoring the pinfall victory. While Evans was not involved in the interference, he was quick to take advantage of the opportunity to advance.
The victory makes Evans the third confirmed semifinalist, joining Oba Femi and Dominik Mysterio. Femi and Mysterio are already set to meet in one semifinal, while Evans will face the winner of Friday’s SmackDown fatal four-way featuring Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys and Finn Balor.
Liv Morgan Advanced To The Queen Of The Ring Semi-Finals On WWE Raw
On the women’s side, Liv Morgan celebrated her 32nd birthday by booking her place in the Queen of the Ring semifinals. Morgan defeated Chelsea Green, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss in a hard-fought fatal four-way contest. The closing sequence saw all four women come within seconds of victory before Morgan stole the win.
Bliss connected with Sister Abigail on Morgan before Lynch broke up the pin attempt. Lynch then delivered a Manhandle Slam to Bliss, only for Green to level Lynch with an Unprettier. Morgan seized the moment and pinned Green to secure the victory.
The Women’s World Champion will now face the winner of Friday’s SmackDown four-way between Jade Cargill, Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria and Sol Ruca.
The other Queen of the Ring semifinal is already set, with Iyo Sky scheduled to face Raquel Rodriguez.
Both tournaments will conclude at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 27. The King and Queen of the Ring winners will each earn a world championship opportunity at SummerSlam.
