Shota Umino and Zack Sabre Jr. have moved on in the New Japan Cup Tournament joining Hirooki Goto and Callum Newman who notched their spots yesterday.
Callum Newman beat Hartley Jackson while Hirooki Goto defeated Jake Lee in yesterday’s action.
Today, Shota Umino survived Yujiro Takahashi and a horde of House of Torture interference to move on while Ryohei Oiwa lost to his TMDK protege and Wrestling’s Mr. Electricity himself, Zack Sabre Jr.
The semi-final matches are now:

New Japan Cup 2nd Round- Hartley Jackson vs Callum Newman
Jackson nails Newman off the ropes with a clothesline of sorts. Newman kicks out of a stiff piledriver. Jackson cannot believe it. Zayne Jay slides a steel chair into the ring. This distracts the official. Newman kicks Jackson in the “lower abdomen” and hits Excalibur for the pinfall.

New Japan Cup 2nd Round- Jake Lee vs Hirooki Goto
Lee kicks out of the GTW shocking Goto. Goto knees Lee in the face and pins him with a Goto Revolution.

Akira pins Nagai with his Fireball Knee Strike. Ice and Henare continue to throw hands after the match as officials try to separate them as Oskar chases Akira around the arena but cannot catch him.

The official is trying to put back the turnbuckle Yano tore off so he doesn’t see Togo’s attempted pin. As Togo argues with the official, Yano rolls him up for the pin.

New Japan Cup 2nd Round- Shota Umino vs Yujiro Takahashi
Chase Owens distracts the official on the apron as Togo goes to choke out Umino. Kanemaru takes a swig of his whiskey but Umino kicks him in the face. Umino breaks Togo’s hold whipping him into Kanemaru. Umino stops Owens with a Tornado DDT. Umino dodges Yujiro and his pimp cane punching him in the face. Umino stuns Yujiro with a lariat off the ropes and pins him with his Second Chapter drop.

New Japan Cup 2nd Round- Ryohei Oiwa vs Zack Sabre Jr.
ZSJ kicks out of a roll-up. Oiwa hits ZSJ with a clothesline so hard his spins him in the air head over heels. Oiwa runs off the ropes for a spinning elbow but ZSJ catches him in a Zack Driver.
