Bolton Oleg and Yuya Uemura will face each other in the semi-finals of the New Japan Cup.
Oleg had to defeat Ren Narita to notch his spot today. Narita attacked Oleg from behind as he made his entrance throwing him into the ringside barricade before the bell even rang to start their match. Narita put Oleg’s on a steel chair and whacked it with another steel chair. Narita focused on that leg inflicting more damage. Narita takes Oleg’s knee and smashes it on the ring apron. Oleg goes down hard on the floor. Oleg rolls around on the floor holding his knee, leg. Narita wraps the knee and leg around a ringside barricade and then around a steel post.
Narita shoves Oleg into the official taking him out which is the cue for Kanemaru and Fale to attack. They set up a table in the middle of the ring. Oleg fights Kanemaru off, picks him and Narita up onto his back and slams them to the mat. Fale attacks him from behind. Toru Yano and Aaron Wolf make the save. Yano whips him into Aaron who hits Fale with the table in the head. Aaron heaves the table over the top rope to the floor. Narita leaps off the top rope. Oleg catches him on his shoulders. Oleg slams Narita and then puts him away with a Kamikazi drop. Oleg limps to the back though which isn’t a good sign.
Uemura defeated Shingo Takagi by powerbombing him off the second rope and splashing him with a High Fly Flow and minutes later his bridging suplex.
The other two quarterfinals matches set for Tuesday are:

- Shota Umino versus Zack Sabre Jr.

Taisei Nakahara & YOSHI-HASHI vs TMDK (Hartley Jackson & Kosei Fujita)
Fujita makes Young Lion Nakahara submit to a Boston Crab. For good measure Jackson gives him a senton splash after the match.

Young pins Gedo with his DDT. Henare and Ice are fighting in the crowd they have totally forgotten about the match. Everyone brawls to the back.

As ZSJ has Umino on the apron in a submission hold as Oiwa pins Honma with his running spinning clothesline. ZSJ finally releases the hold, wraps Umino’s arm around a barricade. Umino walks to the back holding his arm in pain.
